To celebrate the launch of the Legacy of Romulas expansion, Starfleet Headquarters has teamed up to bring you a week-long and varied event itinerary! PvP, STFs, Patrols, Leveling Events, and Social Teamspeak events will all be hosted throughout the week and are open for the entire membership to attend.

In addition to our schedule, I invite you all to join us on our teamspeak server at ufplanets.com - there will no doubt be tons of activity, every moment of this week, to celebrate this monumental launch. So if you're just looking to level with fleet mates before these events start, don't hesitate to come on early! There should be plenty to do throughout the day.

It's also worth mentioning that you do not necessarily need a Romulan character to participate in these events. Most of our events are actually cross faction, meaning any one of your characters can attend. Only events with a (Rom) sticker on them are actually Romulan-exclusive events.

Character ImageStepping down from his role in the Elite Strike Force (ESF), Captain Jake Tyler will be taking over as the next Starfleet Operations (SFO) CO, following Commodore Seeker’s own step down from the position. Replacing Jake Tyler, as the next ESF CO, will be Lieutenant Kains. These changes will come into effect on Tuesday.

Starfleet Operations deals with the running of the fleet’s Federation faction in Star Trek Online, such as planning and administrating staffing, daily events and the fleet bank. Armed with a fine selection of staff members, and a committed command team, the division leads the Federation’s newest explorers into the exciting unknown that Cryptic releases.

Serving alongside Starfleet Operations, the Elite Strike Force acts as our fleet’s elite STF division, who together represent the very finest in Starfleet. Behind the ESF is a hard working group of event planners and staff who work to provide ESF members with even more content and challenges.

Serving out as the Starfleet Operations CO for close to two years, and more recently as an ESF member, Commodore Seeker is quite easily one of our longest serving division COs. During his tenure, Seeker brought in a refreshing change of stability after an unstable couple of months left the SFO division in much need of secure leadership.

During his time as CO Seeker has grown, made lasting friendships, and has already left his mark in UFP history. I'd therefore like to publicly thank Seeker for his service to our fleet.

However, to quote a TNG episode title, all good things do come to an end. It is therefore with regret that I must inform you all that Seeker has indeed made the decision to step down in an effort to give SFO the chance to grow under a new CO's command. This decision was not made lightly, and is not the result of any particular variable. Rather, Seeker would like to take a break for the interim and look for employment elsewhere, later on, when ready.

To replace Seeker, SFC has decided to transfer out one of our existing SFHQ COs over to SFO. This CO is no other than Captain Jake Tyler of the Elite Strike Force. Upon assuming command of SFO, Jake Tyler will leave behind ESF to Lieutenant Kains.

Over the months i’ve gotten to know Jake Tyler, I can definitely say that his heart lies with both STO and the fleet. As an avid STO player, Jake Tyler is one of those COs who enjoys playing the game for all it’s worth. Jake Tyler is also an extremely active member of Starfleet Headquarters and can be seen providing his opinion to a variety of subjects both on the forums and in meetings.

Filling Jake Tyler’s old shoes as the next ESF CO is Lieutenant Kains. In addition to bringing on his ESF and real life managerial experiences, Lieutenant Kains also brings with him a set of fresh, open ideas for ESF as a whole. Upon assuming command, Lieutenant Kains will receive a promotion to an appropriate command-level rank.

To clarify and reinforce all that’s been mentioned, these command changes will result in the following line up:

SFO CO: Jake Tyler
SFO XO: Cehus

HoK CO: Dodgers
HoK XO: Noram

IG CO: Wixiban
IG XO: Neotrident

ESF CO: Kains
ESF XO: Three of Seven

SFH CO: Caymen Greener
SFH XO: TBD

SDC CO: Collier
SDC XO: Ben Hurley

Also worth mentioning, these changes wont come into full effect until Tuesday, May 21st. I was overwhelmed by the large number of applicants and thank them all for their interest and enthusiasm for the Romulan Imperial Guard, only one could be chosen to fill the roll and after careful consideration the decision was made.
