While it is necessary to be familiar with the Code of Conduct, you should find the vast majority of this document is common sense and obvious etiquette.

Section 1 - General Conduct

  1. All {UFP} Members must respect the Code of Conduct/Policies and Procedures at all times.
  2. All {UFP} Members must respect and obey the chain of command. Members should comply with any reasonable requests made by superiors.
  3. It is not permitted for {UFP} Members to be a member of other clans/guilds/fleets/groups that engage in Star Trek gaming. RPG-X only groups are not exempt from this policy. Members must seek prior approval from Starfleet Command before accepting "privileges" or other higher than normal visitor level status from said clan/group/fleet/guild.
  4. Flaming or spamming is not permitted.
  5. Use of abusive language, imagery or any actions that may be deemed deliberately offensive are not permitted.
  6. Impersonating another {UFP} member or attempting to deliberately give false information about yourself is not permitted.
  7. All {UFP} Members must represent the {UFP} to the best of their ability and take no action that could bring the {UFP} into disrepute.
  8. Hacking for any reason is not permitted.
  9. Members are required to follow Roll Call procedure.

Section 2 - Forums

  1. Linking to illegal or any other inappropriate material is not permitted.
  2. Discussion of involvement of illegal activity is not permitted. This includes pirated software.
  3. Any reasonable Moderator requests should be complied with at all times.
  4. All {UFP} Members are also expected to follow the fleet's forum rules at all times.

Section 3 - Gameplay

  1. Any and all server rules must be followed at all times. Regardless of whether the server is {UFP} or not.
  2. Any reasonable Admin requests should be complied with at all times.
  3. Cheating is not permitted.
  4. The use of any modification or glitch that may give an unfair advantage is not permitted.

Section 4 - Data & Information Security

  1. No {UFP} Member is to share their login information with anyone else.
  2. No {UFP} Member is to give out {UFP} passwords unless authorised to do so.
  3. No {UFP} Member is allowed to share any privately gained information regarding the {UFP} unless authorised to do so.
  4. Any information above CL1 is confidential unless specifically stated otherwise or appropriate authorisation has been secured.

Section 5 - Copyrights

  1. All pictures, graphics and any other classification of unique works are not to be used without authorisation from their creator(s)/owner(s).
  2. Duplication or modification graphics and other classifications of unique works are prohibited unless authorised by the creator(s)/owner(s).
  3. Any official {UFP} documentation is only for use by the {UFP} unless authorisation is given in specific cases for others to make use of it.

Section 6 - Rank Changes & Awards

  1. Only Starfleet Command Members are permitted to authorise a change in rank in the {UFP}.
  2. Only Starfleet Command Members are permitted to authorise the distribution of {UFP} awards.
  3. Only Academy Staff are permitted to authorise a change in rank for Academy Cadets.

Section 7 - Command Officers' Duties

  1. Division and Department Command Staff are responsible for the administration and performance of their division/department as well as the training and development of their division/department members/staff.

Section 8 - Leave, Retirement & Rejoining

  1. Members retiring from the {UFP} are still granted access to the forums.
  2. Members leaving the {UFP} and subsequently wishing to re-join will have to go through the normal application process.
  3. Members wishing to take leave are required to declare their leave of absence and give updates to their status when applicable.
  4. Members on leave are not permitted to use their authority within the organisation until they have returned from leave.
  5. Members previously banned from the {UFP} may only re-join if the majority of Starfleet Command votes in their favour.

Section 9 - External Affairs

  1. No {UFP} Members are permitted to get involved in external affairs unless authorised* to do so.
  2. No {UFP} Members are permitted to represent the {UFP} in diplomatic events unless authorised* to do so.
  3. {UFP} Members must inform a member of the Diplomatic Corps as soon as possible if they are involved in or aware of activity of other groups that may impact the {UFP}.
  4. No {UFP} Members are permitted to begin hostile actions against other clans or fleets (friendly duels/team games/rpg servers being exempt), unless the sides involved are at war.
  5. Any treaties or changes in relationship between the {UFP} and other organisations must be approved by the head of the Diplomatic Corps Department.

Section 10 - Starfleet Command

  1. Starfleet Command Members must hold the Starfleet Rank of Commodore or above.
  2. {UFP} Members may only join Starfleet Command following a successful majority vote of the Starfleet Command or upon the invitation of the Fleet Admiral or Vice Fleet Admiral.
  3. Starfleet Command reserves the right to take any action or make any decision in the event of a successful majority vote of Starfleet Command.
  4. Starfleet Command must always act in the best interests of the {UFP}.

Section 11 - Fleet Admiral & Vice Fleet Admiral

  1. Only one Fleet Admiral will be appointed at any one time.
  2. The Fleet Admiral reserves the right to take any action or make any decision unless it is in opposition to the majority of Starfleet Command.
  3. Only the Fleet Admiral can disband the {UFP}.
  4. The Vice Fleet Admiral has the same power and authority as the Fleet Admiral with the exception of the ability to disband the {UFP}.
  5. The Fleet Admiral and Vice Fleet Admiral must always act in the best interests of the {UFP}.

Section 12 - CoC Policies & Procedures

  1. All terms of the Code of Conduct/Policies and Procedures must be adhered to by all members at all times unless compliance would result in the breach of another aspect of the Code of Conduct/Policies and Procedures.
  2. Any action taken that does not technically breach the Code of Conduct/Policies and Procedures but does go against the spirit of the Code of Conduct/Policies and Procedures may still result in action being taken against those involved.
  3. Starfleet Command reserves the right to take any action in the event of breaches of the Code of Conduct/Policies and Procedures, including legal action if applicable.
  4. Starfleet Command reserves the right to alter the Code of Conduct/Policies and Procedures at any time. Any proposed alterations must be substantiated at least by 2/3 (two thirds) of admirals voting in favour.
  5. In specific cases Starfleet Command can authorise activity that may conflict with the Code of Conduct/Policies and Procedures but only if it is deemed in the best interests of the {UFP} and does not breach the spirit of the Code of Conduct/Policies and Procedures.
