The United Federation of Planets is one of the largest and oldest international gaming communities today, playing various Star Trek titles including Star Trek Online and Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force.

The United Federation of Planets, or simply known as the UFP, was founded in May 2002, and was known as [FBN] (FlyByNight) for the first 3 months of its existence.

It started life as a small group of people, determined fans of the newly released Star Trek: Bridge Commander. Today, over 10 years on, we have a large and thriving community of like-minded players, playing a variety of Star Trek games and mods.

Over the years, we’ve picked up a diverse set of members from across the globe, ranging from countries in Europe, the Americas, Australia and Asia. Our member base is made up of an equally diverse set of ages and groups, all with a common goal, to enjoy Star Trek gaming together.

  • The fleet has a history spanning over 10 years; so we know how to run a great
    Star Trek community!
  • With over 600 members in our ranks, you're bound to make friends and have experiences you'd have trouble finding elsewhere.
  • We support various types of gameplay including PvP, PvE, STFs and roleplaying in several games.
  • We have an array of members with an excellent community, perhaps because we welcome those regardless of gender, race, creed or sexual orientation.

The current Commanding Officer of the Fleet is Fleet Admiral John Hathaway, who has served as CO since September 2002. He is also joined by Admiral LynxMukka, Admiral Sharpkiller, Vice Admiral Mikester92, Rear Admiral Bondgadget76, Commodore Jordan, and Commodore Lazereth. All of whom are capable and experienced command staff with a varied history of accomplishments.

The UFP has a long and respected history, having made many allies over the years and establishing itself as an honourable community of Star Trek players. We believe in the principle of leading by example and our senior officers are selected carefully, to ensure this remains true at all times.

Through generous donations and modest advertising revenue, we have been fortunate to be able to push the boundaries of capability. With dedicated servers and more apt website facilities, we are pleased to be able to provide an enhanced and unique experience for our members.
