New Events System Launched

As you may have already been aware, we've been hard at work to develop a new entirely bespoke event system to replace our current various forums and threads. This system is also entirely replacing our use of vBulletin's stock calendar to keep track of events.

This new system will allow you to RSVP to events, and to see who else is going. The soonest occurring events will appear at the top as large panels with a background image. Depending on whether or not there is a featured event, 2 or 4 events will be displayed in this fashion. The remainder of events will be listed slightly below them as plain text in order of soonest to latest occurring events. You can click on any event to get further details and to RSVP.

We're still very much developing the system and will soon add additional features such as the ability to view past events, comment on events, and a few other unannounced exciting functionality. So stay tuned!

I add my voice to the congratulations aired above!

One idea would be to be able to "auto-RSVP" - set it on a weekly basis for such things like STF Wednesdays, Sundays and PvP Friday. Less clicking that way.

So maybe things are being tweaked still, but I now see Events as a big button at the top and the Calendar is back (which has its own "add" function). Perhaps I am catching an in-between phase? Just thought I'd ask.
