MINECRAFT: Maximize Window Issue

Hi all,

I'm aware Minecraft is hardly an "offical" supported game however this particular issue is certinely 'grilling my bacon' as they say.

Every time I start Minecraft I find the window defaults to a small window a fraction of what I want it, but when I maximize the window I find an overlap with Windows 7 taskbar - it's transparant but really annoying big time. Incidentally I also get this with Firefox right now, so perhaps it is a Windows 7 issue?

Either way if there is some mod out there for Minecraft or option I don't know about to go full-screen and get rid of the taskbar that will cure my problem.
