Promotions for New Members

According to the plan for how ranks are to work, SFC approved an automatic "time in" promotion for ranks up to Petty Officer 3rd Class. This is meant to work in tandem with Starfleet Academy Acceptance criteria, and the Rank Billet System. I am currently going through the list of all enlisted personnel, making changes where necessary. Here is the criteria for promotion:
New Member - Crewman 3rd Class
2 Weeks In - Crewman 2nd Class
4 Weeks In - Crewman 1st Class
6 Weeks In - Petty Officer 3rd Class
New members MUST complete the Academy CORE curriculum to progress past the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class, and all promotions after PO3 will be based on merit, and not at all on time in {UFP}.
FOR ALL MEMBERS WHO ARE ALREADY PAST THE RANK OF CREWMAN 3RD CLASS - you will keep your seniority through a one-time mass promotion to an equivalent rank - eg. If you are CRM2 now, you will be PO2. If you are PO1 now, you will be Master Chief Petty Officer. The list of ranks can be found HERE.
In the future, it will fall to Starfleet Personnel to keep track of new members and progress their rank as their time in the fleet meets the requirements.
