Personal History Samuel Quinn graduated Starfleet academy at the top of his class and received a posting on-board the U.S.S. Enterprise. While aboard Quinn was appointed Assistant Chief Engineer, while on duty he saved the ship from a Catastrophic Event when the warp nacelles malfunctioned and created an unstable subspace pocket. In the process of reverting the subspace pocket he gathered data that allowed starfleet to gain further insight into the possibility of a stable Quantum Slipstream drive.

In 2399 he transferred to Earth Space Dock to be closer to his then Fiance Anna Dylan. He received the posting of Chief Construction Engineer at ESD. While at this posting he was one of the people responsible for adapting the older Starship designs such as the Constitution and NX class ships for active service in the 25th century. In February 2400 Samuel Quinn and Anna Dylan were married by then Rear Admiral Jorel Quinn. The next 5 years of the posting were uneventful.

In 2405 Samuel Quinn was asked to teach at the academy, some of the classes he taught included Warp Theory 101 and 201, and Basic Warp Design 101. While he was an academy professor he also was a Special Consultant at the Starfleet Corp of Engineers. He headed a team that was backwards engineering Dominion and Borg technology, they made many strides in medical and Engineering advances, one of which recently helped Quinn massively with his recovery from an injury.
