Delta Rising’s equivalent of Legacy of Romulus’ Legacy Pack has been revealed: the Operations Pack.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

The Delta Rising Operations Pack, at the price of $124.99 or €119.99, offers eight ships, unique Bridge Officers and Duty Officers, a new set of uniforms, and lots of other goodies.

The fourth type of ship class and bridge officers that were hinted at has finally been revealed: Intelligence ships and officers. The pack includes three Very Rare Intelligence Bridge Officers which unlock for all characters on the purchasing account. Five Tier 6 Intelligence ships (3 Federation: an Escort, a Science Vessel, and a Cruiser; 1 Klingon: a Battlecruiser; and 1 Romulan: a Warbird) are also included in the Operations Pack. No details have been given as to the unique traits and abilities of Intelligence officers, but it has been revealed that the Intelligence ships are the only type with access to Commander-level Intelligence officer seating. Intelligence ships can also launch drones that scan ships for weaknesses and allow captains to exploit those weaknesses through special abilities. Each Intelligence ship has its own unique console, with their effects ranging from a Heavy Phaser Lance to a Sensor Probe Swarm.

Perhaps one of the most interesting developments out of the Operations Pack is the bundling of three Ship Upgrade Tokens into the Pack. These tokens allow certain Tier 5 ships to be upgraded to Tier 6 capabilities. It has already been confirmed that ships such as the Jem’Hadar Attack Ship will be upgraded to Tier 6 capabilities free of charge, but the introduction of these tokens means that other ships, such as the Odyssey and Bortasqu’, can also be brought up to par with the new Tier 6 starships. What stat changes this means is unknown, but it does negate the threat of Tier 5 ships becoming entirely obsolete.

Three non-Intelligence ships are included in the Operations Pack: the Federation’s Guardian Cruiser; the Klingon Empire’s MaHa Raptor; and the Romulan Republic’s Aelahl Light Warbird Battlecruiser. These ships were designed based on the discoveries made by the crew of USS Voyager on its journey home through the Delta Quadrant. The ships will feature Intelligence officer stations, unique consoles themed from the Delta Quadrant, and a special Tier 6 skin.

Also included in the pack are three Very Rare Duty Officers with unique active abilities, three titles (Voyager, Delta Quadrant Explorer, and Delta Quadrant Ambassador), and a set of Talaxian uniforms based on Neelix and other Talaxians’ choice of apparel in Voyager.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS NEW PACK IN COMPARISON TO THE LEGACY PACK?

Can a conversion to Euros and GBP be added to this? Those would be greatly beneficial to know for those outside the US Smile

Personally, I have no interest in the pack, the ships for Feds are ugly, that's what I'll mainly play and not too bothered about the other bonuses, I will just be picking up a T6 ship on it's own.

Oh and I think the price may go up after the launch of the season, so anyone wanting it might want to get it at a lower price?

Added,

Personally I'm not fond of the ships in this pack, hopefully by the time Delta Rising is ready for release they'll have more ships added to the pack, if they did that I MIGHT be tempted.

Great work, Flicky. I'm happy to see that they are starting to use the old perpetual concept work at last on these ships. That Federation Science one though... not sure if I'm a fan of that design..

I'll be waiting to see how these work out stats-wise before making my decision on the bundle.

It was an interesting read though its a shame they haven't released more detail about those ships. If a tac is getting sensor analysis I guess they will lose a tac console because otherwise they will be very powerful indeed. Also still no information really given on the new voyager other than it will be a tier six ship.

I only liked one of the ships, and so far, the price tag is a bit rich. I paid for Lifetime. I paid for the LoR mega-pack. Am unsure if I really want to spring for this one.

Those are some ugly Federation ships. I'll likely end up buying the pack but what is it with Cryptic designed Starfleet ships? Makes me think Tom Paris is their lead ship designer.

Picked this up last night myself. 8 ships and 3 upgrade tokens plus that other stuff for 125$ is a pretty good deal imo especially if you are a person who uses a lot of alts.

I too dislike the look of the fed ships... and I still don't know how I feel about this "intellegence" theme they are going with... mind you those KDF and Rom ships are really nice... I am a sucker for costumes and those token could be an interesting perk. Mind you, I would imagine us Lifers will get a nod as well so I may just wait what comes our way before paying up the funds for this pack.

Thanks for bringing this to us Flicky! Torinth thanks for editing!

Hm, I honestly only like the Fed Intelligence ship, the rest are only okay... Although, I really do like the texture and color of the ships.

Personally, I am not a fan of any of the Fed designs. I dig all of the Republic and KDF designs though. I do have lobi ships on two of my feds if worse comes to worse, but the only fed design that is somewhat interesting is the Guardian.

Definitely not paying 124.99 for this, I will probably do individual upgrades depending on stats.

I think before buying this, all the information would need to come out, pre-orders can end in feeling like money has been wasted if you don't get what you expected to get. But I'm sure some people will be pleased with this, I'll just get T6 ships as required for what I am doing, I don't think there's anything else in this pack to entice me, unless they add more.

Well, I caved. I had no interest in the LoR pack because I don't play Romulans, but this was too much shiny to resist.

I just picked this up. I think it's great that i'll have ships (and boffs) for all 3 factions right off the bat, and I do like a lot of the designs. I'm glad I picked up the LoR pack as well but the flexibility of this new one is definitely an improvement. As for the cost, even with buying LT at launch and both of these packs I feel the cost of this game is trivial compared to the hundreds of hours of fun I've had with friends over the years.

ı would rather spend that 130$ on star citizen and get a Freelancer (with some extra $ on 130 ofc)

but i might get some select ships ingame individually.

Personally I won't buy it until more details are revealed about the T6 and the intelligence BOFFs.

That I will certainly not do. I won't spend money on a game that does not exist.

I fully expect that over ambitious MMO to crash and burn, though I also hope to be surprised and impressed (even if I will never have any interest in it).

$130 Day light robbery if you ask me for something that looks like the back end of a bus.
