To: All Starfleet Ship Captains and Base Commanders

As of 26/04/2015 1931 UFP, Starfleet Intelligence reports increased subspace communications activity indicating large scale fleet movements in the quadrant and a significant increase in encryption traffic normally associated with military operations between forces known to be hostile toward Federation interests. Intelligence believes these efforts present a credible threat to assets critical to re-supply and defense efforts associated with the arrival of the Iconians and ongoing conflicts with old adversaries including the Borg, Breen, Tholians, and splinter resistance groups associated with non-allied factions.

Effective immediately, I am issuing a fleet-wide alert to be on the lookout for suspicious activity or subspace transmissions in and around your normal patrol routes and sector defense blocks. Starfleet Intelligence is leading coordination efforts and requests any and all intelligence to be forwarded to the Office of Intelligence for processing and analysis.

Additionally, the UFP will be hosting large-scale inter-fleet base defense and ground assault drills on 3/5/2015 at 0300 UFP time. All Captains and Base Commanders are formally requested to RSVP and participate in these drills to ensure our forces are prepared for attacks of any kind should our adversaries prove bold enough to test our defense.
