It's the Enterprise! For a price.Legacy of Romulus had a Starter Pack and Legacy Pack, Delta Rising had an Operations Pack and hot on the heels of the press release announcing a third Star Trek Online expansion pack Cryptic have announced a pair of DLC bundles to accompany the new expansion.

These are the Temporal Agent Starter Pack and the Temporal Special Agent Pack, the later of which includes all of the content from the Starter Pack and more.

Both packs contain content which will be available separately but are being sold for approximately half the price of buying all of the individual items separately although the total value of all individual items when purchased separately has so far only being provided in USD, so the percentage discount of any saving may vary by region and currency.

The Starter Pack contains several helpful and stylish items for creating your brand-new Temporal Agent in Star Trek Online: Agents of Yesterday.

The Starter Pack costs $19.99 or £14.99 with the contents when purchased separately totalling $40.50 (approximately £29.99). This represents a discount of 51% if you were to buy all of the items within the pack separately.

Tier 1 Constitution Class
A legendary 23rd century Starfleet vessel, the Constitution-class Cruiser regularly went where no one had gone before. A durable, versatile ship, it handled a variety of missions, including exploration, first contact, research, and system defence.

Tier 6 Temporal Battlecruiser Paladin Class
Drawing inspiration from the 23rd century Ranger-class, the Paladin-class Battlecruiser is very tactically focused. It features a potent weapons platform, and a number of sophisticated maneuver systems make the Paladin a remarkably agile vessel for its class.

At first glance it doesn't seem like a bad amount of content especially considering how pricey just a single ship can be on Star Trek Online but I would expect most people that really wanted one already have the Constitution Class which has been available to players for quite some time. The torn TOS uniforms also don't seem to add much value, the TOS uniforms are great but I can't see many players specifically wanting their crews to look like they've just woken up after a night of heavy drinking. The pack also contains all of the contents of The Starter Pack (Tier 1 Constitution Class, Tier 6 Temporal Battlecruiser Paladin Class, TOS Torn Uniforms and the Title: Temporal Agent).

Whilst this bundle is certainly content rich, which makes sense given it's price point, you do have to wonder how many of the items you will end up using. You get an impressive number of ships but will you really use them all and a few of the costumes are already available and surely already owned by those that want them and the novelty value of the others may wear off quickly. That said that is an incredible list of ships and the pack does represent pretty fantastic value if you are likely to make use of them.
