seems to me to be mainly JJ-esque lowbrow stuff. What rly makes me sad is that nobody at CBS/PARA seems to value episodes like TNG's 'The Measure Of A Man' or 'The Drumhead' anymore.. Star Trek nowadays is explosions, doomsday weapons and evil villains à la star trek II stuck in some sort of cynical temporal loop..

Sadly Scoop I feel the same way that it's all about blowing everything up and J.J. Trek FTW!!!

Well that looks like an interesting Sci Fi series! But I thought there was supposed to be a Star Trek trailer?

Personally I feel like there's too much fighting, too many action scenes going on in this trailer. Starfleet isn't just all about fighting, there's diplomacy, science and meeting new alien races, first contact etc, judging by the trailer it just looks like a run of the mil science fiction show, where's starfleet?

Good bye Discovery and Hello Orville the better Trek

I'm hoping what they've done is cherry picked the action sequences to catch people's attention and the episodes themselves don't skimp on the heavy lifting. Don't let it be all show and no substance.

The proof as they say, is in the pudding. I'll watch the show and see how it gets on.

Klingons are now using FTL jump drives and not warp? Suspicious
