When will Discovery air in the UK and US? Soon, very soon.

We edge closer to the launch of Star Trek: Discovery, with the US getting to see the series on the CBS platform on the 24th of September, for those outside of the US, it will be the day after on Netflix. The first episode, for those in the US, will air on CBS stations after the NFL game and news. After that, it will be via CBS All Access, which costs $5.99 a month if you want commercials included or $9.99 if you do not want adverts.

The 24 hour after US airing should be the same across the globe, so the US see it on Sunday and everyone else 24 hours after, mostly on Netflix but different in Canada. If you want to know where to watch Discovery, you can read this thread and please feel free to drop a comment in that thread if you know of another.

Discovery is set to have 15 episodes, however these will be split into two parts. The first eight will run from the 25th of September to the 6th of November, the last seven episodes will run from January next year. There is no reason given for this split, but it could be to time it with other shows or sports events. We will certainly find out from American viewers first on their thoughts of Discovery, if any watch the first episode on live TV.

Are people still looking forward to Discovery? It will be coming around any moment now!

I'll certainly go to youtube for first impressions and people's opinions. Personally, it looks too JJ and too action focused to me, but who knows? Only thing I know for sure is that I am not exactly eager to throw my money at them..

I will seem to be able to see it, In Canada, on a regular channel for the first Episode. After that i have to pay to see more.

But i will not pay to see a new Star Trek show, i pay enough to get access to my TV and internet. They want more cash for the show, go ahead. I may be a Star Trek fan but i put a limit on how much i will pay.

And to be honest, from my point of view, CBS no nothing of Prime time and i find that they are doing with the look of the show is a disrespect to the Original Star Trek look.

From my stand, i prefer looking at the Orville.
