More Ships from Eaglemoss

Eaglemoss release a number of bonus Star Trek ships, should you be interested in adding them to your collection.

Originally reported on the Hero Collector website, Eaglemoss have released details surrounding a number of new ship models that you will be able to add to your collection. These are not part of any subscription, and can only be purchased through specially selected stores when they become available. Hero Collector mentions their own, but others will be available, no doubt the main Eaglemoss website too.

This recent range of bonus ships shows off some other instances of Star Trek ships, from concept work to those which don't appear on screen, like the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-F, which only appears in Star Trek Online. These add to the ever growing catalogue of models produced, collecting them all would be an expensive task. So for those on a budget, like myself, you may want to just pick up the ones you like the look of. For me, that's going to be the Assimilated Voyager, but what else is coming out?

Of course, the Doug Drexler model is going to be the most unusual of the collection here, but it did find a home in the 2007 Ships of the Line calendar, as the USS Altair, a prototype starship.

After the Voyager models, which make up half of these bonus ships, there is the previously mention Star Trek Online ship, the Enterprise-F, which to me is a nice ship to look at, I do already have an Enterprise-F model, but not an Eaglemoss one, and it does make a nice piece! Unless you limit your collections to just ships seen on screen. Following that, there is the Bonaventure class, which has been referenced in novels, and appeared in the 2006 Ships of the Line calendar.

Then leaving the Klingon ship until last, which is the only one to feature in this bonus set, it it the Bird of Prey, but in a third wing position that hasn't appeared previously. This is the landing position for the ship, so if you have the previous two flight positions, you will need this one to complete the set of three!

And that wraps up this collection of bonus models, which will be released by Eaglemoss later this year, and into next year.

So with all of that said, will anyone be picking up these ships? Or got their eye on a single one of them, like myself with the assimilated Voyager model? Share your thoughts, and let us know! I would like to know what people think, as someone who has some of the earlier models in the Eaglemoss Starship collection, I did enjoy them, but quickly ran out of room!
