MSI has always seemed to have affordable components that delivered on the performance. Over the years, a lot of my setups have sported this iconic sticker. Great article Emmy!

Yes, I especially love MSI products myself.

I still have a gaming laptop in perfect running condition from 4 years back - the first of the 10 series.

It's nice to see some members here use MSI too. Smile

Probably the best graphics card I've owned (in quality, not specification) was the MSI RX 480 Gaming X. Excellent quality components, fantastic heatsink, quiet and boosted high. It could be overclocked by a significant margin and was built on high quality parts so the RX 580 vBIOS could be flashed onto it without any stability issues. Brilliant card, I couldn't fault it at all. I know people still using even older Gaming X graphics cards, like the R9 390, because they're just so good.

MSI's more recent offerings have been underwhelming though, and borderline trash. They made huge claims about the 5600 XT being flawed and the updated BIOS being unreliable: these problems were only reported on MSI graphics cards though, not other AIBs, due to the cheapest and lowest quality compensates being used on the PCB, along with minimal spec VRAM chips.

Right now, I wouldn't go near an MSI product, not until they start acting more responsibly and return to their previous high standards.
