The PlayStation 4 award winning blockbuster open-world game Horizon Zero Dawn will bring the post-apocalypse to the PC gaming community in the summer of 2020. Recently announced by Hermen Hulst, Guerilla Games‘s former marketing director and now head of Sony‘s World Wide Studios in an interview with the Playstation Blog this year.

Horizon Zero Dawn was first published in 2017 as a Playstation exclusive, the game is an action packed role-playing adventure played from the so called third person view and is set in a post-apocalyptic future in the 31st century, 1,000 years after the human civilisation as we know it today had collapsed. The game's story has been noted as one of the games best features, with many positive reviews about the gripping nature of the story-line, enough to keep you entertained for hours on end.

Human beings are now living in tribal-like populations with little to no access to technology and the whole planet Earth is dominated by large robots, the "machines“. There was a more or less peaceful coexistence, but this changed after the so called "Derangement“ when the robots become larger, more aggressive and deadlier. Players come equipped with the ability to kill these machines in various ways, with explosives, arrows and even spears if you should desire. Horizon Zero Dawn also has a stealth mechanic which pushes the game-play to new and exciting limits. PC players will have an exciting time playing with the various mechanics that this game does have to offer, this game also features additional movement controls, such as dodging, sprinting, sliding and rolling - in order for the character you play to evade her enemies.

Due to the actions of her predecessors, humans are living in various small groups scattered throughout the world, you play Aloy, a young huntress who is searching for answers about her past and the world. With the remaining humans only having limited access to technology, you have to come up with other ways to take down your foes - reverting to the tried and true methods, such as arrows.

The game itself has captured the hearts of many Playstation 4 players with its thrilling plot and unique mechanics, the release of Horizon Zero Dawn to PC is sure to make some new fans, hopefully the PC version of the game will remain as stable and bug-free as the current PS4 iteration of the game. No matter what happens, the release of this game for PC is going to be an exciting time which should breathe new life into the game and make many people fall in love with the beautiful story-line this game has to offer.

I've enjoyed playing Horizons with a friend of mine on PS4 whenever we'd chill. Nice to see this title making its way to the PC, I always thought it would do great on PC.
