Hero Collector Producing STO Ships

A number of ships, which appear in STO, are being brought to life by Hero Collector.

Hero Collector, the company behind the Star Trek Official Starship Collection have a partnership with Perfect World, the company behind Star Trek Online to create a number of ships. We have covered news on these ships before, once in 2019 and earlier to that, 2018, which only showed the Enterprise F.

Since then, more information has come out about which ships are coming out, with two now on preorder. Firstly, the current list released on Monday, which is as follows.

The Enterprise F
The Gagarin Miracle Worker Battlecruiser
The Chimera Heavy Destroyer
The Andromeda Exploration Cruiser
The Bortasqu War Cruiser
The Vastam Tactical Command Warbird
The Pathfinder Long Range Science Vessel

As mentioned previously, the Enterprise F has already been released, however appears to currently be out of stock, so only has the "notify me" button available. While the two that have been released for preorder are the USS Gagarin, the Federation Miracle Worker Battlecruiser from STO, and the Chimera-Class, which is the ship available to Lifetime Subscribers within STO, previously 1,000 day Veterans, previouslt subscribers may have unlocked it anyway.

The remaining four ships on the list are not yet out for preorder, but will be available later, with the Andromeda, and Bortasqu' coming out in June, followed by the remaining two, Buran, and Vastam coming out in July.

With the partnership between the two companies already in place now, it is very likely that even more ships will come out over time, which are only seen in Star Trek Online. As we know, ships which have been seen on screen have already made it into the collection, or planned in the future.

Are you likley to pick up any of these ships yourself? Or maybe some of the others in the Starship Collection?

Gagarin for sure. But I have to bundle a couple of other items, because shipping costs to Greece is £16.99!

I agree. That Gagarin would be a great start to my collection.

They are usually very good models for the price, so definitely a better option that those 3D printed ones i reckon.

Also, i've seen images of the Buran class so it looks like that is coming also, seems to be limited to the Cryptic exclusive models obviously.

I would caution anyone ordering any of these ships. I ordered the Enterprise F, waited five months for them to deliver it and when the package arrived it was NOT the STO version of the ship. Won't be ordering from them again.

But there is no other Enterprise F, the only one is in Star Trek Online, also you have to remember that if the demand is high, delivery can be slower, and if it's an international delivery, there is delays there. I have ordered things from the US before that have taken a long time to arrive, but it sounds like it was a production issue. If they did have a production issue, they should have been keeping in touch with you, if not, that's poor customer service, but if you had a complaint, you should have gotten in touch atleast.

Edit:-

Okay, so I have looked at the ships, they do have two versions of the Enterprise F, there's the one that came with the magazine, which is the original version, and there's the new one that they have done for this promotion, which is the updated version.

Maybe it's just me, but the magazine version looks absolutely terrible.

I got the standard one and both have been available for quite a while now. Both were listed when I placed the order. I understand shipping delays, but five months is excessive. They should not have taken my order if it were going to be that long, and they should NOT have sent a different ship than the one I ordered. I have bought over 100 ships from them, but I believe shipping the wrong one was intentional because I kept contacting them and each time they would give me a new expected date. I am afraid what used to be a very reliable company has exceeded their ability to maintain the high-quality customer service they were known for.

It's not just you. They sent that one instead of the STO version I ordered. I am very disappointed in it.
