Everybody loves the clown- dragons!

MSI, with the famous dragon mascot, introduces two more notebooks, the Bravo 15 and the Bravo 17, with processors and graphics chips from AMD.

While the Alpha 15 still comes with the reliable quad-core Ryzen 7 3750H, the new Bravo series will now include it's successor, the Ryzen 7 4800H, with eight CPU cores.

The Bravo 15 comes equipped with its 15.6 inch IPS display, and the Bravo 17 boasts a 17.3 inch version, both with identical hardware.

The Ryzen 7 4800H eight-core processor is accompanied by a Radeon RX 5500M with 1408 shader cores, up to 1645 MHz boost clock frequency, and 4 GB GDDR6 VRAM. The graphics chip is suitable for Full-HD gaming with a 1920 × 1080 pixel display and 120 Hertz. Using FreeSync, the GPU synchronizes the image output in 3D games with the frame rate.

MSI comes installed with a single 8 GB DDR4 RAM in both Bravo 15 and Bravo 17 but is worth mentioning that the memory locations are accessible, which makes the installation of a second DDR4 module for dual-channel operation possible.

Windows 10 Home is pre-installed on a 512 GByte PCI Express SSD200602 111310
with the Bravo 15 offering a second M.2 slot for expansion, and the Bravo 17 coming equipped with a 2.5-inch slot.

Headsets and other external devices can be connected via four USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 GBit/s) connections; two Type A and two Type C connections on Bravo 15, and three Type A and one Type C connection on Bravo 17.

HDMI, audio jacks and a Gigabit Ethernet are also available. The notebooks wirelessly communicates through a Wi-Fi 6 network (WLAN 802.11ax) and with Bluetooth 5.1. The 3-cell batteries have a capacity of 51 watt hours.

The Bravo 15 weighs almost 1.9 kg with the Bravo 17 coming in at about 2.2 kg.

Delivery of the notebooks have already begun. The Bravo 15 costs about €1200, (£1069/$1342) and the Bravo 17 is available from €1240, (£1103/$1387).

I'd also recommend taking a look at the Asus Zephyrus G14. At a similar price point, it comes with the Ryzen 9 4900HS, 16 GB RAM, and the RTX 2060-MaxQ. I bought it to replace my MSI gaming laptop and found it's a significantly better value.

Those sound like great machines for the price. I've owned several Asus ROG laptops that I do most of my gaming on, but these sound like a worthy competitor. I particularly like that they're made with slots to expand memory and storage.

I have a MSI GT70 0C old gaming laptop with the 780m 500gb ssd, 1th hdd, 17.3", and 16gb ram. Sure its old, but it still works for 90% of games well enough and takes up little space on my desk. I did have to replace the battery once but that is it. Love MSI laptop. If you need one on payment No Compromise Gaming does a lease purchase option, where I got mine ages ago.
