Kingdom Come: Deliverance has been sold 3 million times

Throw on your armour, grab your shield and your longsword, mount your horse and embark to countless, almost endless adventures in the beautifully and historically designed open-world environment of the RPG (role-playing game) Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

THQ Nordic, the company that acquired the game‘s developer Warhorse Studios last year, now states that 3 million copies of the game set in Bohemia of the early 15th century have been sold across all platforms – just two years after the launch in 2018. Additionally 1.5 million copies of the available DLC (download content) have been sold too.

There will be a "Free Weekend“ on Steam from June 18th – June 22nd 2020 in order to celebrate this definite milestone.

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you play Henry, the son of a blacksmith, living in the village of Skalitz (today: Stříbrná Skalice). After Henry’s family has been killed by mercenaries serving king Sigismund of Hungary, he swears revenge and to pursue justice. He joins the service of Lord Radzig Kobyla, who is the leader of the resistance trying to stop Sigismund’s brutal invasion.

The game features not only countless quests and an open world, but also historical and period-accurate weapons, combat techniques, clothing, landscapes and buildings – recreated with the assistance of various architects and historians.

The core game itself is unbelievably huge, but the experience grows even larger if players decide to install the available DLC packs.

These are:

1. From the Ashes
2. The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon
3. Band of Bastards
4. A Woman’s Lot

Have you played Kingdom Come: Deliverance yet? Are you going to test it during Steam’s “free weekend”? Let us know in the comments below.

I can't say I'm surprised considering how in depth and historically accurate a lot of things in the game are for that time period. But a big congratz to the company nonetheless!

You should have seen how the game and the developers got trashed by liberal media, in the german speaking parts of europe, because there are no blacks in the game.

I love them for not backing down and keeping it as accurate as possible. Facts will always be more important than "muh feelings!"

I've owned this game since day one and I love it, it's fantastic. Back when it came out there were bugs, bugs, bugs galore but they're all mostly fixed now.
