It's the season for cheesy films, family gatherings and everything else special about the Christmas season! This season we get to see Sir Patrick Stewart, best known for his role as Captain Picard, take part in a Christmas film. Which has been called Christmas Eve, will it join the ranks of other Christmas classics, the story premise certainly seems to fit the role, spoiler, probably has a happy ending!

Christmas Eve takes place in New York and follows a number of characters, the power goes out and they are all stuck in their respective lifts. There's not going to be much change of scenery for the majority of the film, it's going to be very dialogue heavy and potentially quite soppy like a traditional Christmas film should be.

The official trailer has been released and is said to potentially give much of the plot away, so if the trailer pulls you in wanting to hear more, then it's probably the seasonal film for you. You can watch the trailer below.

I for one am interested in seeing how this film plays out and of course, I enjoy seeing Patrick Stewart acting. What are your thoughts?

Didn't Stewart star as Ebenezer Scrooge one time for Christmas Carol? Plus Gary Cole is always good, I know him from loads of shows.

I think I need to watch A Christmas Carol with him in then, it's not one of my favourite stories but I'm sure he does the role well!
