A perfect follow up to Avatar book one. Murder, religious tension, prophecies; book two covers a great deal of ground. The discovery of the Ohalu prophesy, an eerily accurate text (deemed heretical by the Vedek Assembly), has profound personal implications for members of the crew and Bajor as a whole. Character development in this follow up novel by SD Perry is handled brilliantly. By this point, the newly introduced characters are already beginning to seem inseparable from those of the show.
