We've installed the vBulletin-created mobile style which has been optimized for mobile devices. This style should automatically load while using a mobile browser. We've disabled users' signatures in posts to reduce page load times and save bandwidth as our signatures are quite large in size.
Unfortunately, due to our website's heavy use of images for nearly every aspect, the website is not compatible with the mobile style. If you attempt to visit the website, you will be redirected to the forums instead.
The full LCARS website and forums can be accessed at anytime at the bottom of every page on the mobile style.
vBulletin Solutions has created this style specifically for touchscreen mobile devices. The interface is clean, and the buttons are large. The mobile style has reduced functionality, as its primary purpose is to allow users to post, read, and reply to threads.
We may do some tweaking in the future to the style, but our primary goal here is to allow members to browse the forums at reasonable speeds and with easier readability on mobile devices.
So head on over to www.ufplanets.com on your mobile device. Those of you who were attempting to view the website via the iPhone or iPod Touch need no longer be pestered about the lack of Flash player.

This does not work on Windows Phone 7 unless you know a special way of getting it on there.

Windows phone, ouch. I had one years ago and would never go back. Been using Android phones for a bit but prefer the iOS that Apple puts on the iPhone. Probably going to try pick up a cheap iPhone 4 when they release the new model next June. One thing Apple is good at, regular predictable product cycles .

As I say, it's Windows Phone 7, so it's not like the previous versions which weren't particularly great. Been using it for over six months and have liked using it so far so..kkthx.

Hey LynxMukka, I can get the ufplanets website on my WP7 and even login and post to the forms, but thats right now via wireless connection.Since the graphics are so large, I wouldn't be able to try it then via 3G. But still, most place I go, I can get internet, so thats sweet! "I'm a WP7!"
