LynxMukka began the meeting and welcomed those that attended the Fleet Meeting for June 2012. He later explained the general outline for the meeting, to which can be listened to in the recording.

SECRETARY OF SOCIAL AFFAIRS REPORT

• The Give Respect Get Respect campaign is currently being worked on but hasn't been released yet.
• There is another project in the works, but cannot be announced yet, but will be part of the community project.

SECRETARY OF INTERIOR REPORT

• LynxMukka did not have a significant report to state but did emphasize that IA will be working to better enforce the policy that members wishing to fulfill a CL4 role, must take the Command Course first. The policy was always designed to be this way but was never properly enforced and then became unofficial standard.
• Members should see an increased visibility of moderators on the forums in the coming future.
• IA will be reviewing certain clauses of the Forum Rules, specifically to do with the height of signtures, more will come in the future.

SECRETARY OF COMMERCE & TECHNOLOGY REPORT

• Sharpkiller further announced the Events system which has already been released and he stated he's still tweaking it to offer more features. He outlined that next week event officers will be able to edit events etc.
• The Leave of Absence forums will be placed into the Fleet Manager system so that it's more automated. Later on the resignation and retirement systems will be integrated with Fleet Manager.
• The Fleet Support webpages will be updated to be better streamlined and more accessible.
• Jordan has also been a help with the engineering team and future things you'll be seeing in myUFP will probably be because of the help of Jordan.

FLEET CHIEF OF STAFF REPORT

• LynxMukka reminded members that the UFPAC June 2012 is tomorrow.
• He also announced that Starfleet Command has chosen to create a company called 'UFPlanets.com Ltd.' which will act as a background, non-profit company to manage the donations that we receive per month. By law now, PayPal (our main donations collection) requires specific details from us; as a result, the company is being formed. More details on this soon.

SECRETARY OF DEFENCE REPORT

• Mikester thanked the CL5 staff for getting in their recommendations for the UFPAC, they all got them in on time.
• It has been encouraged that division staff take further effort to post job advertisements to show what positions are currently open within a specific area. It will help with members getting more involved in the fleet.
• Mikester hinted that there will be an important fleet announcement tomorrow at the June UFPAC.
• As an update on the Fleet Proposals System, it has shown to be much more successful than previously. If anyone does have proposals they think would better the fleet, please raise it!

STARFLEET ACADEMY REPORT

• Recruit Training is still at a point of contention at the moment because of Moodle. Moodle will be abolished instead being completely in house, for all courses.
• Lazereth covered the current discussion on provisional CL3 priviledges which RSOs would be able to add to guests on the TeamSpeak server. The implementation of this idea has been postponed until the disadvantages of introducing this can be addressed, such as security.
• Feedback has apparently been given that members want to be able to see what courses they have previously attempted/completed. We'll be looking into implementing this in the summer.
• Hightower provided an update on the RSO system. We're not taking on any more recruit support officers, except possibly after Season 6 release.

STARFLEET DIPLOMATIC CORPS

• Jordan went over the role of the Diplomatic Corps in the {UFP}.
• SDC is hoping for more joint events with other fleets. While the focus is on promotion the UFP to other fleets, it's also aiming to deliver for our members, bringing hopefully at least one inter-fleet event per month.
• More staff have become involved in the SDC, things are looking more promising in terms of activity.
• The department has been working on the new treaty system, hoping to simplfy the system.

STARFLEET OPERATIONS REPORT

• Seeker provided an overview for the division, for the Federation side of Star Trek: Online.
• Events are ok at the moment, growing but we do need more event officers. Also if you don't think your timezone is being covered, apply to be an event officer and cover that timezone!
• SFO is also planning for a fleet day during the Season 6 release.
• We've been testing the Fleet Starbases on tribble to see what options are available. As of yet, a path as to the direction the fleet wants to take with Fleet Starbases hasn't yet been decided but announcements will be made in due course.
• Several issues were raised by members such as getting invites for people to the tribble fleet. Posts were and are being made in the SFO area for people to request invites.

HOUSE OF KULAR REPORT

• The division is still running successful and fun gaming events.
• Dodgers encouranged people to join the Klingon Tribble Fleet, since the fleet base is currently...less than cool.
• The division may well be recruiting more staff in the near future, keep an eye out!

STARFLEET RESERVES REPORT

• With Hathaway now back, we're looking into restructured of the reserves, including a new logo and a new name.
• Lazereth hopes to see a resurgence in Frag Night events.

FEDERATION NEWS NETWORK REPORT

• No representation was provided from the Federation News Network. LynxMukka stepped in.
• The Herald was released last week and made it onto the front page of the Star Trek Online site earlier this week. LynxMukka wished to thank all the contributors and McClintock for the hard efforts in finally getting out the next edition of the Herald.
• Kyuusaku and Rhetorical are working on some instructional videos which members will be able to watch
• There will be greater emphasis placed on more forum based news articles so that members can read high quality news directly on our forums.

Crushed asked whose taking up the lead in supporting Star Trek Excalibur the game for the fleet. Unfortunately, the details haven't been revealed yet so we don't know when we might start supporting it.

Hightower asked whether the Reserves Squadron Commanders should be CL5 instead of CL4. Sharpkiller and Mikester explained why that is not currently the case.



No member issues were raised.



Babyhead asked about the Give Respect Get Respect campaign. LynxMukka will contact Bondgadget to get this chased up.

Seeker asked a question about whether there were any other major fleet announcements on their way. LynxMukka responded with an array of news announced in the last two weeks which Seeker should already be satisfied with.
