Ok so given that my pc has been overheating lots and it is winter here, I am loathed to buying a new PC. Given that I would like a full warrenty for this one I'm heading for a custom rig but pre build.
Planning on getting it from a place called www.dinopc.co.uk and i've heard some mixed reviews this week.
They do exactly the PC I want but would like any info on reliability if possible. Ive seen some reviews online etc. but if anyone has used them before please let me know.

How much would all that be?
Personally I'd go with a intel c2d, a motherboard with a nForce chipset and a nvidia graphics card. Nothing beats that combo

That looks like a really solid build and the price is not insane. The only question I had was I checked the link for the CPU cooler you had, but it brought me to the specs for the AMD CPU?
Not a big issue, but I prefer the Zalmann CPU cooling fans. They are widely used by overclockers who don't go with liquid. Suffice it to say that if you can overclock safely with this cooler, you should have no worries without overclocking: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118046
One other suggestion would be to not sell yourself short on power supply. Quad core AMD with a 5850 radeon is going to need some juice. If you plan on crossfiring a second card someday, it wont hold up. I use an 1100 watt with dual 8800 GTX Ultras and those cards are OLD.
Power supply rule of thumb: If it weighs less than a pound, its going to die. The heavier it is, the better the components are and longer lasting it is. Hard to tell before you get it, but if you get a chance to pick it up or see the shipping weight, it tells you alot about it. I have popped nearly every power supply that comes free with a case (they are always those lightweight, cheaply made ones).

i have a 1kw modular power supply in my current one which is less than 6months old i was thinking i might swap it out but worried about warrenty. Also plan to add my 500 gb hdd in along with my 200 gb emergency backup external.
and yes i know it does look like that, but that is due to editing. Will sort out the table in a second

yeah i did check that, and its not just that thats causing it. it keeps happening even 1 day after a gooood thorough clean. Might be that the adhesive between the CPU and teh mobo is wearing away.

Thats a very solid system, especially if you plan on swapping in the better power supply.
When you get it, download the new 3dmark vantage and give it a benchmark.. post your score

AMD and ATI both respectively beat Intel and Nvidea in the price to performance comparison, so basically you're paying a lot less to get a close second. And the 5870 out benches the 295 anyway.
