Hi all,

So, going out for drinks on Thursday night to celebrate finishing college for the year seemed like a good idea at the time. Until I woke up yesterday to find I'd lost much of the use of my left hand. Seems whatever way I lay on it while slightly inebriated caused a nerve to become trapped, which should sort itself out in a few weeks but in the meantime playing games is out.

And did I mention I'm left-handed and have written exams next week?

Hope it gets better soon! I misread that completely and thought you said you lost much of you left hand, full stop! Glad to hear it's not that bad now heh

I get numbness in my hands, for me it is a nerve in the elbow , again for me what works is to put a piece of tape on the back of my elbow/arm, this stops you from bending the arm and takes the pressure off the nerve.
Yeah I was "Say What?!?" to the Dr when he told me to do this but it does work.
Anyhow get well soon and see you in game.

Sorry to hear about your injury, but I'm glad to read you'll make a full recovery. I have permanent numbness in my left hand, do to nerve damage. It works normally but it always has that feeling of being asleep. Look like we can start our own division within UFP - The Nerves Reserves.

Is it ulnar nerve entrapment for you too? They said the elbow was the most common place for that but it doesn't seem to be there in my case. But I'm trying to keep it straight in any case and do the hand excises they gave me.

Do you get it in your writing hand? And if so, how long until you can write legibly again? I'm just really worried I won't be able to sit my first exam on Tuesday morning
