Mikester92 began the meeting and welcomed those that attended the Fleet Meeting for June 2013. He later explained the general outline for the meeting, to which can be listened to in the recording.

FLEET ADMIRAL REPORT

• Nothing to report.

FLEET CHIEF OF STAFF REPORT

• Report to posted later by Chief of Staff.

SECRETARY OF DEFENCE REPORT

• Mikester92 introduced himself and welcomed Cehus and McClintock to their new positions.
• Mikester92 thanked SFHQ for getting all their recommendations for the UFPAC in on time.
• Mikester went over the new introduction of a Recruitment Team which is being looked after by Chris Halsey. He went on to explain its important purpose and role in the fleet.

SECRETARIES OF DEVELOPMENT & TECHNOLOGY REPORTS

• Sharpkiller Introduced himself and teased about ‘something coming’
• Jordan as well introduced himself and explained his involvement with fleet systems.
• Most of the engineering projects are top secret surprises at the moment so no formal items were raised.

SECRETARY OF EDUCATION REPORT

• The RSO system continues to go well. With the system designed to cater for members who have just joined the fleet. New advanced RSO template is being used.
• Executive Officer interviews are currently underway, an XO should be appointed soon.

STARFLEET DIPLOMATIC CORPS

• Collier introduced himself. Collier reported on an increase in joint fleet event output after exam season concluded.
• SDC is currently pursuing a treaty with Jupiter Force, Hermanator has been assigned to them and has been doing a wonderful job on it.
• Some fresh staff members have been appointed to SDC, supporting the division further.
• SDC is currently looking to increase Elite Force activity with special UFP hosted frag night events with other fleets.
• Task Force Atlantis, a splinter group of Third Fleet, has tried to cause a bad rift between the UFP and Third Fleet and as a result of this and their hostile behavior towards Third Fleet, they’ve been quarantined.
• Ben Hurley introduced himself and reminded everyone of the Ambassadors’ Ball tomorrow in-game.

STARFLEET OPERATIONS REPORT

• Jake Tyler Introduced himself and explained the role of Starfleet Operations. The new SFO command team has been primarily going over the old policies from the previous CO and will be removing excessive policies they feel are defunct.
• SFO will also be having a sort of apprenticeship with new event officers where they can seek senior advice from other event officers.
• The team is currently looking into making more events for more timezones closer to the pacific.
• The fleet’s cap continues to rise and as a result the threshold for removing members has been lowered.
• SFO is currently working with Mikester92 and the engineering team to add a fleet invite forum system.
• Jake announced the completion of our main fleet’s Starbase to Tier 5 as occurring on Sunday. Second and Third fleet continue to progress well.
• Neo added that if anyone is interested in hosting events for a timezone that isn’t actively covered, that they should contact the SFO command team.
• Three raised a bank report for SFO and HoK: bank ran a surprise box event to raise money for the fleet banks, a total of 15,500,000 EC was raised between both the SFO bank and the HoK bank, the items sent to members were random items from the shop roughly equal to the amount they donated. There is an intention to run this event again in the future as well as another bank event which will involving collecting data samples, more information about that will be given closer to the time.
  
  The bank areas of the forum have been merged into a single one, this will making it easier to find information regarding the bank and prevents repetition of topics such as the bank policy.
  

HOUSE OF KULAR REPORT

• Dodgers introduced himself. Explained how HoK echos SFO but instead manages everything for the Klingon faction.
• Dodgers reported on the status of the KDF’s various holdings, including the new mine.
• Dodgers reported on an enjoyable increase of members as a result of the Romulan Update. On the downside though this has forced HoK to open their second fleet, a fleet donated by Odyssey.
• HoK is currently open to recruiting new Battle Officers. If anyone is interested in hosting events they should contact the HoK Command Team.

IMPERIAL GUARD

• Cehus introduced himself and thanked Wixiban for his previous service JAke
• Over the next few weeks a few threads will be posted publicly in the Imperial Guard. threads on the backstory
• Some new ship reviews will be posted as well on all paid and free ships.
• An IG XO posting should be opened soon.
• IG will also be looking for two new operatives to host events.

ELITE STRIKE FORCE REPORT

• Kains introduced himself and the purpose of the Elite Strike Force.
• Kains is working heavily on promoting the purpose of ESF and its core mission statements to the wider community.
• Over the past few weeks Kains has been cleaning up the forums.
• Recruitment into ESF has improved with the activity of Legacy of Romulus, Kains also thanked the engineering team for their support.

• The main ESF mega threads have continued to grow in popularity, being the most popular threads on the forums.
• ESF will be softening the recruitment standards to allow for more recruits to join ESF.
• ESF is currently looking for a replacement to the Squadron 47 leadership role.

STARFLEET HARRIERS REPORT

• Caymen Greener introduced himself and the history of Starfleet Harriers and its niche of roleplay in STORP, RPG-X and the SIMM.
• Caymen lead on the success of the recent STO RP events thanks to a group effort with Thaeus.
• Caymen’s expressed satisfaction over the development of Starfleet Harrier’s three primary platforms.
• McClintock introduced himself as the latest SFHQ appointee and expressed excitement over getting to know everyone and getting involved with more roleplay.

STARFLEET RESERVES REPORT

• Area was introduced by Mikester92. Not much activity here although with the new SDC events being lead by Bondgadget that may change.

Caymen asked about the Planetary System and the Olympics. Mikester92 stated that it was something on his agenda which he plans to work with, but that there were no further updates on it.

Neo asked the engineering team about the automated invite system they were working on, Sharpkiller stated that it would be done in the next few days



No member issues were raised.



Fisher raised five subsequent questions:

• We've seen a huge amount of changes in command and structure in the past few months, will we now see a period of stability and in which the fleet will get back to its principal objectives? - Mikester92 said that CO-XO resignations were an unpredictable factor as circumstances change all the time for people, but that in general there were no major changes planned anytime soon other than a few additional XO appointments.
• In 2013 a huge amount of chatter on greater transparency , democracy and accountability has been discussed and also making SFHQ/SFC more approachable , the proposal system was one of the first measures, can we have an update on the proposal system and how quickly approved projects are actioned? - Mikester92 went on in high praise over the new system and mentioned how happy SFC was with it. He explained the more speedy process and compared it with the last system.
• We have had some great statistics on membership and progress in games such as STO, however could we have future data on the amount of complaints/feedback given, average response times and outcomes of complaints/feedback dealt with in set times, and also what CL branch the most of the complaints/feedback come from? Sharpkiller mentioned that feedback and the results of it are actually displayed in the Herald. Mikester92 continued on to explain the feedback process and LynxMukka’s involvement in its coordination.
• ESF: Did you mention that getting greater fleet cohesion and integration (IE, less secularisation) is on your agenda? - Kains hopes to make ESF a more open community to the rest of the fleet and considers it an important pillar to his primary goals as the CO.
• Harriers - could we consider nabbing foundry/story driven events of the other divisions for closer integration to RP planning? - Caymen took lead on this question saying how important the foundry is for the future of STORP. The Foundry forum, previously under SFO has been moved to Harriers and SFH will be working sometime in the future to experiment with it.

Hermantor asked about ESF’s poke to enter policy. Kains explained how ESF has softened it’s policing of the poke to enter rule and explained its original reason of having it so that recruits don’t get interrupted during training or testing. Kains does wish for further ESF integration with the rest of the fleet and is overviewing at the poking policy’s future.

Seldon asked about the UFP Career Day, where members can attend a sort of ‘job fair’ Mikester92 promised to raise it with Lazereth, as the Academy hosts that.

Woody mentioned his experience with radio experience and inquired on the possibility of having a UFP Radio. Mikester92 mentioned raising it on behalf of him for the UFP news area but also mentioned its past trials and how they were unsuccessful. Woody will be making an informal document on it.

Seldon asked about promoting Teamspeak more and whether more could be done to do it. Mikester said beyond it being advertised in the acceptance replies, RSO PMs and events there wasn’t really much that could be done other than encouragement.

Wixiban asked about KDF-specific interfleet events, Collier confirmed that SDC is indeed working on Klingon events.

Rhetorical asked about the status of the community changes. Sharpkiller mentioned that there were no updates.

MerTYol asked when the next Herald was due out. Mikester92 said that a Herald was being worked on but that the release date of a future edition was unclear.

Hermanator asked if there were any updates to the council and plentary system. Mikester92 said he was working on that behind the scenes but that there were no further updates on it.

Stryker asked about the future of the UFP should Star Trek Online eventually come to a natural end. Mikester92 mentioned that the goal of our community changes project was to cement the UFP as an all rounded Star Trek community; and not just a gaming clan.
