While looking around in the 'Find Fleet' feature, I came across the House of Kular fleet which led me here. I tried to find the Starfleet faction fleet, but was unable.

Additional Comments
Firstly, I just started playing STO this past weekend, so I am new (both to the game and to Star Trek lore as a whole). This is my first fleet, and I look forward to you all showing me the ropes. I am a quick learner.
Secondly, I have a friend that just started playing with me and I will most likely be inviting him to join as well at some point.
Thirdly, to clarify, I put my username above as 'Shayne Rivai' as that is my character's full name; however, when I created the character, I only put 'Rivai' down for the display name. I *DID* put his full name down in the optional field, but I only put Rivai underneath "Captain" during character creation. Ergo, the game only displays "Rivai". Please let me know if I should edit that accordingly. Thank you.
Lastly, I wanted to just give full disclosure that I just added a signature to my profile in reference to my rank, command, etc. I understand that there is a disparity between "game ranks" and "fleet ranks", so I did put Lieutenant and such (and was going to put my Diplomatic Rank, but figured I wouldn't), but I don't want to cause confusion or anything regarding my rank in game and my rank here. Please let me know if this is a problem. This is just something I've always done on forums to a certain extent - especially when there was a certain RP element.

Good evening. Glad to see you applied, it shouldn't take long for your application to get a response. With regard to your UFP username you can have that as any name you want, it doesn't have to match your STO character or account name.

Thank you, Commodores Halsey and Seeker. I look forward to actually having some guidance in this game. Admittedly, I've just been stumbling around figuring things out myself so far - which was a primary motivation to find a good fleet to join.
In any event, can I ask what my next step is or if there is anything else left for me to do? Or, am I just waiting for approval by administration or someone?
