    Indeed, as Reggie has said, we're currently working on a new website as we upgrade from vBulletin 3 to vBulletin 4, utilizing the vB Publishing suite when we switch.

    Just had a look at it, is it any good the CMS for vBulletin? I currently use Joomla and just wondering if you feel the CMS for vBulletin is any better?

    I've heard some similar feedback re: website appearing dated. Totally understand why, the forum is where it's at, but that means the front end that passing visitors see doesn't appear as dynamic as we know we are. Good to hear there's already something new on the way. Perhaps we could include some kind of current news ticker? Screenshot gallery? Sorry if this is redundant, just back from work and a little on the tired side.

    The is already a news ticker located just under the banner on both the forums and website. This ticker is regularly updated with some of the more important news headlines. The ticker will be included on the our vBulletin 4.0 Suite. Gallery/photo albums also exist on our current boards, and I believe they are a standard feature in vBulletin 4.0. Smile

    Nice to see people commenting on the website, as we'd like to make the new site a more prominent feature in the UFP's make up.
    One of the great aspects of vBulletin, which we have found on these forums to be very evident, is the easy nature of adding new abilities and options for our guests and members to utilise and enjoy. We want to take that extreme flexibility and move it onto our website as well. But also, having a website and forum based on the same back end, means everything is centralised and free flowing. A God send for both users and admins alike lol.

    We're working at the moment on getting the theme ready, so our current popular and familiar look will transfer over, and working on getting all the functionalities of the current forum transferred, and indeed adding new additions both pre-launch and in the future.
    So you should see a future site where the website and forums will work in tandem far more effectively than is evident at the moment.

    From experience i know a fleet/clan needs a decent and up to date website to encourage people to join. The more content and activities help to keep people interested within the fleet.

    I look forward to seeing it all come together and what new features will become available. The website and forum itself are one of the best I’ve seen in regards to Star Trek gaming and the graphics fantastic.

    I love how you can fill in a form and it submits a topic.
