Title says it all, attendance is becoming a real problem with this SRP, this is the 3rd week where the event has had to of been postponed/canceled due to a lack of people attending, we have 13 people signed up for various positions within the roleplay and week in week out we seem to be struggling to make 5 people to run the event, not only does it cause problems for myself having to adapt the story line to suit less people, but it causes problems for the few who do show up who have put the time aside to make the event.

That being said it's understandable if you can't make an event for some reason, but having 6-8 people who very rarely if not never having shown up to an event is rather hard to believe. If attendance doesn't rise the roster will be moved around to allow new people to attain a Senior position in the roleplay, and if attendance still ends up being a problem after that then the SRP may have to be postponed indefinitely until the activity issue has been solved.

One possible problem you might have is with the time slot, I have noticed that it is an hour after STF Sunday, so it might be hard for some people who might be interested to do both. I would take part in an RPG-X Roleplay, I have done in the past but this slot I just find a little hard.

I agree the time slot isn't ideal and may possibly be moved, however the main issue is how several people sign up and then never show up, or mention if they can't make it.

Perhaps in tandem with discussion of day/time reallocation we should reach out to the other fleets interested in JRP'ing with us to get their opinion. That way everybody's happy?

That was the original plan, although there isn't many other fleets who'd be interested in RPG-.

Obviously life is not predictable and it would be pretty pointless if it were so there will be times when people make a commitment with the intention of fulfilling it but for reasons outside of their control can't always attend.

I think a very real problem though is that people don't seem to be communicating about whether or not they can attend. Some things that happen will be last minute and there won't be the opportunity to give a heads up but at the moment we have what 13 people signed up? Average attendance is what 3-4 people? Whilst it is entirely within the realm of possibility, I doubt that 9-10 people each week encounter something at the last minute which stops them attending that they couldn't give a heads up about, for some that will be the case but I suspect for some people there is something else going on.

I think what is needed is an open and honest conversation between those having attendance issues and Torinth as to whether they do still want to be a part of this and whether or not they are able to. Torinth has gone to a lot of work to arrange and lead this SRP and I think it only fair that those that have signed up yet aren't attending speak to him about it.

I don't want to sound mean and I don't think anyone is angry about the attendance problem but it is a problem and I think a little more communication around that problem will give us a better idea of what we can do to resolve the problem.

We all want this SRP to succeed and to be fun for everyone involved, the only way that is going to happen is if we all pull together, if there are problems we need to be open about what they are so we can look at tackling those problems and moving forward.
