Mikester92 began the meeting and welcomed those that attended the Fleet Meeting for December 2013. He later explained the general outline for the meeting, to which can be listened to in the recording.

COMMUNITY CHIEF OF STAFF REPORT

• LynxMukka reminded everyone that for TS we are no longer using {UFP} tags but instead using the UFP- tag standard.
• Lynx went on to congratulate Mikester and others on the launch of the FNS news service
• There has been some delay in the SDC's staff merge and integration in FAB but that will speed up in the next few days
• Lynx will be officially recording meeting attendance for the CL5 meetings to enforce and make sure that each area is properly represented in the future.

PRESS SECRETARY REPORT

• FNS launched with a new news system, which will be the primary news outlet. Replacing the Herald as the UFP's focal point for news.
• Mikester also mentioned the future of a monthly HTML news letter to compliment this new system.
• FNS will also be working with engineering to increase the prominence of UFP's news on the homepage.
• Lastly Mikester welcomed Connor to his first open meeting.

SECRETARIES OF DEVELOPMENT & TECHNOLOGY REPORTS

• Working on a few systems such as the planetary system and front page.
• For the start of the new year the engineering team will be looking at taking on some new projects.
• On the site there's a lot of behind the scenes work, such as for the Academy and the staff's resources.

SECRETARY FOR ADMINISTRATIVE AFFAIRS

• No representation or report provided.

SECRETARY OF EDUCATION REPORT

• FNS Article covering the future of the Academy can be found HERE.
• Q1 2014 will see a revamped exam system launched and all of the existing courses will be replaced.
• Gaming courses are set to be re-introduced.
• The RSO system will be expanded. The first part of this will include the hosting of welcome events which should be launching January 2014.
• The Academy will be introducing exit surveys for new members being released by RSOs.
• Exit surveys to accompany the new exams will also be introduced.
• In 2014 a regular community census will be launched to help better understand the wants and needs of members.

SECRETARY OF SOCIAL AFFAIRS REPORT

• Poll of the week will be returning after the Christmas period ends.
• Lazereth is looking to start streamed Trek episode nights on TS just before Reserves night to help advertise it more.
• Laz is also working with Chris to have holidays each month that correspond to a Trek holiday.
• Furthermore Laz will also be working with Bondgadget on reviving the old UFP respect campaign and will be working on the engineering team to explore who to implement it.
• Lastly Laz will also be opening a raffle soon after the UFPAC, more details to come soon on that.

HEAD OF STARFLEET REPORT

• Jake will be working with the COs to see where he can work with the COs to see how he can improve member experience where necessary.
• Jake is also currently working on a project for Harriers, no specifics yet, but more details will come out soon.
• Most of Jake's work is tied in with the divisions though, so he'll leave those specifics to the division heads.

STARFLEET OPERATIONS REPORT

• The fleet cap in the Reserves fleet has been raised to five characters; second fleet may also be raised soon.
• Three is currently in the processes of archiving and cleaning up the SFO boards.
• Neo took over from here to talk about the fleet provisions and the fleet spire.
• Second fleet's dilithium mine is soon ready for completion.
• SFO has requested that anyone who has dilithium get in contact to donate as SFO needs help with 3rd fleet's holdings.

HOUSE OF KULAR REPORT

• HoK is doing quite well considering it's smaller numbers compared to SFO; it's spire is even slightly ahead of SFO. Dodgers is therefore very proud of his staff.
• Dodgers introduced Cehus who then introduced two new HoK even officers: Novalance and Bane.
• The HoK team will be looking more into non-european time zone events.
• The HoK three month inactivity removal period has been reduced to two months to account for over population on the fleet.
• There is also a poll up now to see how many characters everyone has. You can vote here. This data will be used to gauge whether HoK can increase the character cap in the main fleet.

ELITE STRIKE FORCE REPORT

• Kains apologized for his absence. As he works in retail he's been busy during the holidays.
• Cehus and Wixiban have been added to the senior team to help with ESF recruitment.
• ESF also recently published a new article through FNS to help dispel some misconceptions about ESF.
• All are free to apply! Testing is now done on a timely and expedient manner.
• Feel free to poke any ESF member if you have a questions at any time!
• Squadron 47 (PvP) will also be recruiting more into the new year!

STARFLEET HARRIERS REPORT

• Slight growth in SIMM users and activity.
• Caymen would like to reach out to those who use the foundry as Starfleet Harriers is interested in working with them.

No one had anything to bring up.



Bane raised the importance of having greater event time variety for different timezones. Jake Tyler agreed and mentioned it as an important part of his agenda to have more timezone variety.



Ban asked Mikester92 to describe UFP's relationship to PWE and Cryptic. Mikester went on to describe the history and extent of the relationship as being primarily for interviews and reporter inquiries.

Pheonix asked FNS whether any articles on Trek Mod could be done. Mikester suggested to all attending that if they had any ideas for stories to PM his XO: Connor.

Solace raised his proposal which closed with a lack of signatures on how the color scheme for the Academy exams made it hard to read; he was confused as to wether or not it was being looked into. Mikester suggested that for issues like that he submit feedback to FEO through the feedback form.

• The UFPAC will be taking place tomorrow at 21:30 UFPTIME, make sure to attend!
• A themed TOS ground PvP will be used leading up to the UFPAC.
• Solace will be running themed PvP events soon. Those interested should PM him.
• MerTYol will be running Federation vs Romulan PvP events. A photo op will be made after the event!
