With the new kit system, I thought I would create a topic to allow people to put up their own kit builds and why they have gone for that, this allows for a sharing of ideas and possibly expanding on your own kit. You can mention the kit frame you are using and what boosts that has, as well as what class you are using, here's a possible template you can use.

    HTML Code:
    [b]Class:[/b]
    [b]Kit Frame:[/b]
    [b]Frame Bonuses:[/b]
    [b]Kit Powers:[/b]
    [b]Why?:[/b]
I shall start with one I put together.

    Class: Engineer
Kit Frame: Spire Prototype Engineering Kit Mk XII
Frame Bonuses: +26.2 Weapon Proficiency, +26.2 Personal Shield Generator, +26.2 Generators, +26.2 Modification Specialist
Kit Powers: Active Immunity Mine Field, Chroniton Mine Barrier, Flamethrower Beam Turret, Biotech Turret, Quantum Morter
Why?: This kit set up has a lot of damage output, from a distance and from up close, it does lack the control elements from Fuse Armour and Weapons Malfunction, both skills I would consider in a kit. The bomb I have left out because this is more of a drop and run kit, the bomb requires you to detonate it. There are no defensive abilities in this kit, such as the Medical Generator, so of no use if you are intending to remain stationary, this is for the Engineer on the go!

    Class: Engineer
    Kit Frame: Counter-Command Engineer
Frame Bonuses: +70ish Will (think 73)
    Kit Powers: None
Why?: I'd like to use this kit because I don't have enough Fleet Credits for the Fleet variant. Since Counter-Command costs nothing, I'm looking to build towards it. Sadly, it comes with nothing inside it, but on the other hand I can put in whatever powers I want.

I prefer being a "tank" when I play, so the two powers I'll have for sure in my kit are a Medical Generator and Shield Recharge. This leaves me with three more slots. One specifically for Fabrication, one for Non-Fabrication, and one that I don't recall (I think its an either or power). For my second fabrication, I'd make it a turret to add more possible damage and also to direct enemy fire away from me. My second non-fabrication should probably be dedicated to a fabrication healing, Quick Fix. That just leaves my last power to be figured out.

Now then, I still need to figure out how to get all those different modules, because you can't get them via the Exchange just yet, and the drop rates have been absolutely terrible for me so far.

I'll probably need to add the one ground skill that adds a heal over time for fabrications, to lessen the need for me to heal.

If you need modules, I would suggest running some ground missions with high amounts of enemies to shoot, like the Dyson ground zone, you should be able to pick a few up. As they become more common, I would expect to see some in the bank, but as they are new, they will be hard to find for now.

    Class: Engineer
Kit Frame: Spire something something Engineering Kit Mk XII
Frame Bonuses: +26.2 Weapon Proficiency, +26.2 Personal Shield Generator, +26.2 something, +26.2 Drone and Turrets?
Kit Powers: Shield Recharge, Seeker Drone, Flamethrower Beam Turret, Biotech Turret, Quantum Mortar
    Why?: Pewing all the pews!

I have a DOff to give me a chance for two extra turrets, and a DOff for a chance of two extra mortars. I also have a DOff that gives a chance for two extra support drones. This means I have 2-4 turrets, 1-3 mortars, and 2-4 drones active at any fight. That tends to be sufficient to handle any encounter, and if they manage to bring my shields down then Shield Recharge and Reroute Power to Shields effectively brings them back to full while also making them 80% resistant to damage. Shield Recharge recharges fast enough that I can also do Shield Recharge with Engineering Proficiency to bring my shields back to full a second time.

My full BOff team consists of two Engineers, a Science, and a Tac. The engineers carry two Shield Recharges each, which effectively means almost nobody loses their shields. Even if they do, one of the engineers is an android and the science BOff is Voth, so half of them have self-resurrects. The engineers carry Support Drones and a Turret (which are subject to the DOffs), and the tactical BOff is the Lobi Photonic one which summons a holographic combat drone. That means between the four of us, we have 4-8 turrets, 1-3 mortars, and 5-9 drones. I basically just tap the buttons to summon all my fabrications, crouch, aim, and tap the fire button until everything is dead. Minimal effort and movement required, everything usually dies while I'm acquiring a second target. Tongue Out

(The Science BOff is entirely outfitted with heals to keep everyone alive.)
