Re-casting The Next Generation

So we've seen TOS rebooted with a new cast playing the iconic characters.

...well when they are standing in the shade anyway.

So I wanted to ask, if there was a hypothetical reboot of TNG, which current actors could you envision taking on the roles of the crew?

So a few of my thoughts (apologies for the varying image sizes).

James McAvoy or Tom Hardy as Picard.
I thought McAvoy did great in X-Men as the younger version of Xavier and you need to have a British actor playing a French character.
Tom Hardy was of course Shinzon (Picard's evil younger clone) in Nemesis and I think is a fantastic actor that certainly has the right look.

Michael Fassbender as Riker.
Fassbender is one of my favourite actors at the moment and his performance in Prometheus was probably the only good thing in that movie.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Data.
Not only a good actor but I think he has the right look.

Jamie Foxx as LaForge.
Fantastic young actor and again just has the right look.

Idris Elba as Worf.
Ok a British Klingon might need a bit of work but the guy is pretty huge and can definitely do intimidating.

Scarlett Johansson as Yar.
I need reasons?

Patrick Stewart I think would be fine to stay as Picard, simply because he doesn't look to have aged much! I certainly wouldn't want a young Picard, Stephen Fry wouldn't be a terrible choice, he can play very serious characters.

For Riker, if we assume Fry to be Picard, we can throw in Hugh Laurie as Riker, you then have some already established on screen chemistry between the two, who have worked with each other a lot.

Throw a complete spanner in the works and make Data female, Felicia Day, just because I wanted to put her in somewhere and well, she often plays a knowledgeable character in shows I have seen. Doesn't really fit as a Yar, but maybe Crusher? (Got the red hair for it)

My knowledge of actors names drys thin, I don't often dig too far into shows on that and most of my knowledge is based on British actors

As much as I love Sir Patrick Stewart he is in his mid 70s, which might make him a bit old for a re-boot.

Stephen Fry again I think might be a bit old for a re-boot same with Hugh Laurie and as much of a fan as I am of Hugh Laurie I couldn't see him as Riker.

I like Felicia Day but I've never seen her play a serious character, not sure how well she would do.

Stephen Fry is only in his late 50s, I think he could do it, but I find it hard to imagine a youngish actor filling the role. One issue I have with the JJ cast is that they all look too perfect, I would hate to see any reboot go that way.

Natalie Dormer from the Tudors (Anne Boleyn) and Game of Thrones (Margeary Tyrell) as Deanna Troi for me. Not only is she quite a good actress but she is delightful to look at Also I think that Tom Hardy as Picard would be fantastic. He is a great Actor and because he was Shinzon it would work for continuity as Shinzon is a young Picard technically

Guh, recasting a new TNG seems somehow... sacrilegious but seeing as I have been, perhaps, the only voice of positive for JJ, it is only fair that I take a serious look at this.

Data: While I do love the Felicia Day idea (Redheads have always been my weakness), I cannot help but agree on the female role idea. The lady who has been signed to play Kusanagi would be awesome... can't remember her name...
