Free Upgrade or Disappointing Downgrade
Rule 3 of Acquisition: Never pay more for an acquisition than you have to.

INTRODUCTION:
With the introduction of upgrades on the Holodeck server, a number of leveless items can be upgraded, most notably those from the Lobi store and a few from missions. I don't have all of the items but I can give a run down of what I do have that give a free upgrade! And those that give a free downgrade. This is based on something Novalance found out with the Spiral Wave Disruptors, right clicking on them in the inventory and pressing upgrade converted them into Mk XII V.Rare beams and improved them.

Rarity Upgrades!

INTRODUCTION:
This post will be updated to look at the differences between upgrading the rarities of ground weapons and ship consoles in Star Trek Online. That will be the main focus of my post, I will look at the stats between Very Rare quality and Ultra Rare quality items and see if its a great upgrade or a disappointing downgrade. Eventually once Delta Rising launches I will the consoles with Epic Quality counterparts. This post is designed to supplementary to Three's OP so we can have a look at the different rarities and the respective stats that come with them.

I did but unfortunately, my version is converted so I don't have the base stats, same applies to the Fluidic Antiproton Wrist Lance. And I don't own any of the Lobi armours.

Confirmation on the Nukara console. The PI and PG stats on mine went up to 18.4 when I upgraded to the VR MkXIII.

I tried upgrading some of these items and it still wants components to do the upgrade. How do I get it to do them for free?
