Since External Affairs’ updated mandate was announced to the public last month, the Office’s staff has been hard at work reviewing policies and procedures as well as laying the infrastructure to ensure the area will be thriving for years to come.
As the final step of this area’s launch, myself and the rest of FEO conducted a recruitment drive in October to select a permanent Commanding Officer for this new area. To this end, it is my superb pleasure to announce this individual today. Please join me in congratulating Rear Admiral Mush as the new and permanent Head of Community Relations!
As the Office's Commanding Officer, he will be overseeing its day to day operations including, coordinating with our Divisions on recruitment of staff, contacting and maintaining relations with other boards and gaming groups, as well as assisting me with special projects to increase the UFP’s visibility and profile across the greater internet.
Since joining the community in October 2012, Mush has earned the respect and admiration of his peers many times over. His dedication to the Community and its membership is a known quantity. Mush has previously served as an Away Team Leader and a Logistics Officer for Starfleet Operations, a Federation News Service Part Time Writer and a Squad Leader for the Elite Strike Force. Over the past month, he has also been integral in pushing forward new policies and procedures for External Affairs. I have every confidence he will do the Office and the UFP proud.
