Game: World of Warcraft

Mission Outcome:After a quick discussion amongst holodeck staff we decided to hold a spontaneous Timewalking Dungeon event!

First up was the Lost city of Tol'vir occupied by the fallen Neferset, a cat like people who swore allegiance to the dragon Deathwing in return for a cure to a curse that had turned their stone like skin to weak flesh. Once cured, the Neferset turned on their savior and began attacking anyone who strayed into the city, we quickly dispatched the dark rulers of that place, ending the threat of the Neferset. There was a minor issue with a misjudged attack on a large group of enemies drawn by the intimidating report of my barrage, but apart from that test of our tank and healers abilities, all went well.

Next up was the Vortex Pinnacle, A magnificent floating city hovering amongst the clouds of the elemental plane of Skywall , there a force of the previously mentioned Neferset and an army of elementals used the city as a base to sow death and destruction in Azeroth via a portal linking the two realms. After fighting our way through the patrols that guarded the way, we took down all of the fearsome commanders of the great elemental city, ending the threat to Azeroth.

Our third stop was the throne of tides, located within the abyssal depths of Vashj'ir, here the great elemental lord neptulon watched over his watery realm and kept the secrets of the deeps, till now that is, as a force of naga and faceless ones have invaded, hopeing to secure the throne for their old god masters. Defeating all the forces that stood in our way, we crushed the horrors threatening to overwhelm the palace.

The fourth challenge was the Stonecore, at the very bottom of the treacherous whirlpool know as the Maelstrom, sits deepholm, and deep within that realm lies stonecore, where the dread dragon Deathwing was girded for war by the denizens of that dark place. Hordes of foes awaited us yet again, who we slew without mercy, defeating the overseers of that place, and in so doing, weakened the forces of Deathwing.

Our final stop was Grim Batol, A vast underground fortress located on the border of the Twilight headlands and the Wetlands, it had changed hands many times over its bloody history, first a home for the dwarven clan known as the wildhammers, then an orcish prison, before falling into the hands of the Twilight Hammer cult, who have turned the bastion into a base of operations from which to further the plans of Deathwing. Once again we triumphed, shattering the Cults forces.


Above is an image captured by Three of Seven as we cleared Grim batol, though we had just finished enjoying some refreshments, notice my masterful dps skills as I lurk behind the tank, always ready to let our honourable meatshield take the first hits.

Inspired by my amazing hunter skills of barraging every mob in the dungeon from the very first pull, and to constantly keep aspect of the pack on to better speed our progress through the dungeons, we decided to take on Kazzak, a foul creature lurking in the steaming depths of tanaan jungle, after gathering up a host of hero's, (I would like to note that my offer to barrage the boss to "keep him busy" was denied before a larger group could be formed, hopefully my companions will show greater faith in my abilities in the future.) we defeated the great Demon lord!

Game: Star Wars: The Old Republic

Officers Present: Keenan, Chi, Bill, Stevie and Noram (providing moral support)

Mission Outcome:Today we decided to do a simple flashpoint run with the members available: The False emperor.

Set at the end of Illum storyline, The False Emperor is a rush against time to stop the plans of the Sith Empire traitor

before he can unleash the power of his station on the galaxy. The first boss, the Trandoshan commander Tregg the destroyer, was easily dispatched though not without loss, as one of our party was blasted off the edge of the bridge! (who hasn't been with this guy.)

Next up was the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jindo Krey, who quickly fell before our party. The third boss, or rather bosses, were the prototype droids B-16 and A-14, again no challenge for our group. After those two we had to face the intimidating

HK47

, all went well though I personally died due to foolishly not parking myself next to a healing terminal, apart from that it went smoothly.

Having completed the secondary objectives we decided to take on the bonus boss: The "sith entity", taking it down quickly. Finally we faced the leader of this splinter faction of the empire:

Darth Malgus

Though his power was immense, and his force abilities second to none, our group of republic operatives took him down, and evacuated the station before his desperate attempt to take us with him, activating the self destruct, could end our lives.

The only issue that stood out to me from running this was the fact that the old flashpoints that have been turned into tacticals still feel a little bit off compared to true tactical flashpoints, with aggro issues spoiling some of the fights, due to them all focusing on one character. Meaning a tank is still a massive help in them.

Game: The Division

Mission Outcome:As usual, deployment began with the eradication of the rioter vermin that infests the remains of the once-great New York. After summarily wiping them out, we proceeded into the Dark Zone, where we encountered a kill-team of rogue agents. A bit of cat-and-mouse later, we found ourselves in the northernmost sector of the Dark Zone. Fortunately, the apocalypse, and the complacency brought upon by a lack of resistance to their advance, rendered the Last Man Battalion forces there unable to stop a well-trained fire team. I am happy to report that their forces in the Dark Zone have been dealt a severe blow, and it should be some time before they are able to reestablish their foothold in the area.

Game: Star Wars Battlefront

Mission Outcome:Unfortunately, we couldn't get into any 40-player gamemodes. But, that's not to say we didn't have fun playing Heros Vs Villains and Drop Zone.

We played Drop Zone on the Jawa Refuge map for our first match, but unfortunately Chugster was on the Imperials whilst me and Sammy were on the Rebels. The Rebels won the game by securing the most amount of Pods before the timer runs out.

We then tried our hand and Heros Vs Villains on the Dune Sea and Endor maps. We all had a go at playing Luke, Han and Leia but we only had one round to play as Vader, Palpatine or Boba. Both games were victories for our team.

Lastly, we returned to Drop Zone on the Dune Sea map. Sammy finished the game with the highest score and Kill/Death Ratio, followed by myself.

All in all, a very enjoyable event and we are looking to do it again very soon. Thanks to the attendees!

Mission Outcome:At the beginning of the event an issue was immediately noticed - the Team Battles system is limited to specific times and ship tiers, which meant that I was the only one who would be able to play so we decided to change game to Armored Warfare.

Armored Warfare is a game which is a modern day version of World of Tanks - in a nutshell. Thankfully, this went very well! The three of us were at the same Tier of tank so it meant that we were able to easily play with one another.

We played around 3/4 games and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! In each instance we went around as a trio and worked together against enemy tanks, this teamwork made the event an overall success.

More events around this game could be a good idea, although it may end up being the same people again - but, we can look for interest!

Game: Star Wars The Old Republic

Mission Outcome:Scum and Villainy is a tough op to get through. Not just because it has some tricky fights, though it does, but it's also almost twice as long as most other ops, with seven boss fights, 3 of which have two or more stages.

The story of Scum and Villainy isn't terribly complicated. The Dread Master Styrak has taken over the planet Darvannis with an army of mercenaries recruited from the Hutt Cartel. The team is sent by Supreme Chancellor Saresh to free the planet, drive off the Cartel, and kill the Dread Master.

We were able to do it, though some boss fights took a few attempts to get a hang of, particularly one near the end where we were put up against the four Cartel leaders at the same time, and then later when we fought the Dread Master and his Kell Dragon

In the end we had some fun and finished the Op, despite taking a bit longer than normal. Thanks to everyone who showed up, I hope to see you next week when we return to Belsavis in The Eternity Vault

Game: Star Wars Battlefront

Mission Outcome:Carrying on from last Sunday's successful event, we paid a visit back to Battlefront.

This time, Supremacy, a 40 player mode was our first stop. We played two rounds each on two maps, Survivors of Endor and Outpost Beta. The first two matches were on Endor and we had a go at both Rebels and Imperial. I think we lost on Rebels, but won on Imperials. The same outcome happened on the Hoth map too I believe.

Next, we tried some Hero Hunt, but we quickly decided that it wasn't one of our favourite gammodes to play, so we moved on after one round.

Finally, Heros Vs Villains. This match made me rage quite a bit, either due to being killed, or teammates not helping the Heros survive. This match was a defeat.

Mission Outcome:This week we returned to our old stomping grounds, Belsavis, for The Eternity Vault. This is an Op that we're all old hands at, and one that we were able to complete without difficulty, even after losing a tank. In fact, we completed the last 3 bosses with 7 people, rather than the usual 8.



I'd like to congratulate everyone on a smooth run, thank them for coming, and remind everyone that next week we'll be taking a swing at the Temple of Sacrifice. Hope to see you there!

Mission Outcome:We managed to get 3/4 games in during the hour we were playing, sadly only three of us were able to play as the other attendees were downloading the latest version of the game, thus they didn't join in.

Our games focused around Jordan and I being in our curisers and Sharp being in his battleship throughout the event. After several games I had to leave the event, but everyone seemed to have fun and worked together well.

Mission Outcome:Today we decided to run some mythic dungeons! After a brief delay due to a member needing to set up a new headset and the terminal failure of my potato powered internet we managed to proceed with our plans, but not till we took a brief visit to see the tauren chieftains in Blackrock Depths:


We first ran through Skyreach one of the great spires of Arrak in the far south of Draenor, this great Arrakoa tower was being used by the corrupt followers of Rukmar to further their research into the Apexis technology of their forebears.

We made quick progress to the first leader, Ranjit through the use of traps, stuns and polymorphs, he fell quickly to our team of veteran adventurers.

The next challenge was Araknath, an example of the Arrakoa adopting technology from others, by shutting off the solar energies this great construct uses, we were able to keep it weak and destroy it forever.

The third challenge was Rukrahn, who's summoning of solar flares makes taking him down quite tricky, however we emerged victorious at the end of the battle.

Finally we faced High Sage Viryx, the mastermind behind the great solar powered super weapon constructed atop the spire. Her summoning of allies and deployment of the super weapon itself against us was worrying, but we emerged from the flames in one piece, while Viryx lay dead on the great balcony.

After a brief rest we continued to Bloodmaul Slag Mines, a mine staffed by slaves located in the north of frostfire ridge. There we faced the forces of the Gorian empire lead by the ogre, Gug'rokk.

Fighting our way through the slavedrivers, we did all we could to aid the escape of the slaves, until finally we faced the first of Gug'rokk's lieutenants, Forgemaster Gog'doh, though ultimately, he was the creator of his own doom through his abuse of the great fire elemental Magmolatus who turned on him, before himself being defeated by our party.

Fighting deeper into the slavepits, we faced Slave Watcher Crushto, who's reign of tyranny over the helpless slaves of the mines we ended permanently.

Before we could face Gug'rokk we had to take down his guardian, Roltall, perhaps the most challenging fight in the tower due to the fiery boulders he calls down on those trying to get across the bridge to his master. thankfully the quick footwork and dedication of our healer ensured that we could force our way past him to face Gug.

Finally Gug'rokk awaited us behind a few desperate bodyguards, who fell rapidly to our advance, then stepping down from his throne, Gug'rokk unleashed his fury upon us.

Summoning minions and coating the ground in lava, we had to make quick work of this ogre elementalist, which we did after a great battle.

looking over the corpses of the fallen ogre's and cooling husks of the summoned elementals we decided to reflect on our victory from the Governors throne:


I would like to thank everyone that turned up to this event for their patience while I had connection issues, and for their excellent work in clearing these dungeons. I have no doubt I will be hosting another such event again in the near future, and as always, anyone is welcome to come join us!

Mission Outcome:After updating the game with the latest 1GB patch, we jumped into Battlefront and got our nice little injection of 4,444 credits for the May 4th celebrations.

Since the game was/is free for people to try out (4 hours cumulative) we figured the game would be full of newbies, it seems we were right and the game did seem to be quite busy.

Chugster ragequit shortly after we joined a game, but, a valiant effort Chugster and thanks for coming regardless.

We completed a couple of rounds of Walker Assault on Tatooine. I managed to get Hero powerups on both the Empire and Rebel side, choosing Boba Fett and Han Solo respectively. I managed to survive the entire round as Boba and finished with a K/D of 46-4.

Mission Outcome:The first official Stellaris event overall turned out to be excellent, everyone who attended had a good time and I will most certainly be doing it again!

The event lasted for around 4/5 hours in total, prior to me going to bed, which led to the inescapable conclusion that future events will have to start earlier to provide a longer playthrough. Splitting events up into chunks may be a good idea too, to provide continuous play and an overall resolution to the game.

Throughout the entire game I was separated from the other attendees, being stuck between multiple AI empires and thus I wasn't able to progress too far in the game itself. With several people joining a Federation of different empires and working together to progress through the galaxy.

I look forward to playing with everyone again, hopefully with a far longer playthrough - be sure to keep an eye out for future events!

Mission Outcome:We made an attempt at Explosive Conflict this week, best known for it's signature minefield. However, we ended up having some trouble finding an eighth group member, and then with the second boss fight against the Stormcaller and Firebrand tanks, so we ended up ending the Op before the third boss.

Mission Outcome:I am happy to say that we won more matches than we lost (by my reckoning, anyway), despite server-side issues that plagued Tatchi and made it nigh-impossible for him to play. Hopefully, this is fixed before next week! Many thanks to Mark and Tatchi! Hopefully more will join us next time, so we can REALLY take the other teams to town!

Game: Overwatch

Mission Outcome:It was very gratifying to see a larger turnout for this event, compared to previous sessions, as this meant that the team was more coherent and prepared to work together!

Despite questionable circumstances during some matches (such as an all-goddamned-Bastion team), the UFP put up a good (and good-natured) fight. Indeed, the team cannot lay claim to all of the credit; Stevie's silent support through the battles was instrumental in turning the tide and inspiring us to greater feats of heroism.

All in all, a good day of death, destruction, and screw Hanzo. Seriously, screw Hanzo.
