This coming week, UFPlanets.com or The United Federation of Planets as we’re traditionally called, will be 13 years old. It’s a far cry from when we announced our 8th year anniversary back in 2010. For some, they consider the number 13 to be an unlucky number, but it clearly isn’t for us as we continue to grow as a community.
For me personally, I’ve been with the UFP since 2007 and what a journey so far. There’s been a lot of change but the spirit and stability of this community has been steadfast throughout. I’d like to thank members past and present as well as our regular forum users for the unique contributions they bring to our small part of the internet. I’m confident therefore we can easily make it to our 20 year anniversary, although what we will be like in 7 years’ time is anyone’s guess!
As a means of celebrating putting one more year under our belt, Three of Seven has co-ordinated a series of events for the next week, almost all in keeping with the anniversary theme. As such, I’ve posted the schedule below, make sure you RSVP in the events system!

I have never been a member of such an organized and diverse community as I have been with our UFP community. I joined back in 2013 and I've witness many things such as great acts of kindness from individual members to raging debate where all agreed to disagree. The latter being so surprising as it is usually the cause of a communities obliteration. But not here! I am filled with pride in this community for all it's initiatives whether they become fruitful or whether give us valuable lessons. A community that is not afraid to express themselves and who protects their identity. I am very thankful for my years hears and grateful for the opportunity to support this community. May it see another thirteen years and more!
Looking at the events these are a great range of events and I would too encourage everyone and all to attend as many of them.
