Sounds like the Temporal stuff is going to be in a similar fashion to the intel stuff was. I suspect we'll be getting new faction versions of each of the 3 (or 4?) ships listed as well as new boff seating options for hybrid seats.
Heck, anything based around drains and controls sounds like it's heavily science focused though so this should be fun!
And that new spec tree sounds pretty good fun.

Okay... I was actually expecting this Strategist tree to be with the T6 flagships. Though, yeah. This looks to be a tanking/controlling spec. Though, I am interested in the *Threatening Stance* concept. Does this mean that wen equipped it'll have a toggle that you can turn on and off? If so, that'll be new.

It appears to basically be a taunt to pull threat from others if needed. It replaced the Abandon Ship ability.

Abandon ship was abandoned? I never had much need for it anyway. It's mostly ineffective for damaging enemies and my ship is usually too far away to actually do explosion damage or gets blown up before I can even trigger it.

Abandon ship was abandoned?
I never had much need for it anyway. It's mostly ineffective for damaging enemies and my ship is usually too far away to actually do explosion damage or gets blown up before I can even trigger it.
It used to be good fun when it could be used in social zones such as Sol System.....you could blow up half the friendly ships in the warp in area if you were lucky!

It appears to basically be a taunt to pull threat from others if needed. It replaced the Abandon Ship ability.
So they are going to modify existing skills to replace them with others? I say that's a great idea. I'd actually then have Abandon Ship equipped. Well, in this case Threatening Stance. This would be a great reason to use new trees is to gain varied Captain skills. Add a few of these, a few to the incoming skill traits, and boom. You'd have a different experience for everyone.

Now I know why they changed it to the way it is now.
As for replacing Abandon Ship with this new threat generation, I think it'll be largely useless to me considering how my T6 Defiant has more than enough dps to draw aggro in STFs. I'll still have one ability I will never use.
