Before going forward with the usual job description post, I wanted to take a moment to say it's time for a change at the Federation News Service. There was a time when the department was a vibrant part of UFP and as the newly elected Executive Officer of FNS, I want to see it returned to that status.

I will not go into details on how that changed, why or who is to blame. That is all behind us and FNS is now looking to the future.

In order to accomplish this revival (if you will), the staff needs your help. We are looking for motivated writers who want to join a team committed to three things: 1) writing with integrity; 2) journalistic growth; and 3) meeting newly established goals and guidelines for our staff.

If you like to write and are passionate about the direction the UFP is headed, then you are perfect for FNS. Do not be concerned about a lack of experience. Executive staff members at FNS are committed to guide you every step of the way.
