Hey guys,
I am scouting out to see if there would be any interest in playing any of the Wargame games (AirLand Battle or Red Dragon) as a collective group? I have several event ideas, such as training events, special scenarios with limitations etc, and would be interested to see if anyone would be up for these events?
For those who aren't aware, Wargame is a series of RTS games which are based around the cold war, which are heavily focused on strategy and tactics to defeat accurate - for the most part - armies with a wide variety of units, including tanks, APCs, helicopters and planes. This game, so long as you have a good group can be great fun, whilst it is complicated and micro-managing is key, it is a lot of fun to play with others!

Got it just in time before the end of the wargame sale. Downloading now. Can't wait to try it, the videos look awesome.

I didn't realize how right I was. Stopped playing and started watching youtube videos. Couldn't even figure out the basics and got roflstomped in my first battles. This is really hard to get into. Not intuitive at all and the so called tutorials are just vague reference pages that do not help in any way when starting out.
Grumble grumble. Watching youtube for a couple of hours now. If anyone has a link to a good guide, would be much appreciated.

It's definitely got a lot of moving parts to wrap our heads around, and the in-game tutorials are pretty sorry. I think I'll end up doing what you are, watching Youtube and playing skirmishes until I've gotten a better handle on it.
