Stellaris is amazing. Altho I'm a latecomer to the game, on my day of purchase, I put in well over 8 hours into the game. The attention to detail, the mechanics are simply amazing, as well as the mod option to actually play an Armada-styled Star Trek experience.

I'd definitely suggest to everyone to try out the game, as well as other Paradox games, like Hearts of Iron IV (it have a newly released Battle Royale mod which is amazing!)

I've only been following them slightly, but they look fantastic!

We'll be starting a new game when it's released (as I doubt the existing saves will work). I'll throw the event up and post here to remind everyone, but it'll be a learning curve for a lot of us when they make the changes.

With Federations here. I'm planning on getting it when I can. But I only have the base game so, can someone narrow down what DLC I'll need in order to join in on any games here?

Atm its $187 for all the DLC for me so I need to pick and choose for a bit while I acquire them per pay cheque.

If you’re joining a multiplayer game hosted by someone else who has the DLCs, then you won’t need to buy any. Paradox games enable the DLCs the host has for you.

Would this include Hearts Of iron as well?

It probably takes some mood to make such a system because if possible without it they maybe would make more money.

But yeah, it's genius. I love it because I only play Stellaris in Multiplayer so I only had to get the base game and can still experience all DLCs

So if someone were to pick up the base game now, would they be able to play with peeps from UFP? Does everyone play on a specific server or is there a Grand Multiplayer server one accesses in the game? I know I'm probably asking a stupid question, just from reading about it it looks like a single player game, which obviously it is not.

I think the Stellaris base game is around $CAD49 on Steam so I may pick it up once I get tired of Neverwinter again. Lvl 38 Cleric so far so I have a way to go before the massive grind of campaigns kicks in.
