I personally absolutely loved this movie, there were several great and dramatic scenes that I felt made it an amazing film - not to mention the space battles were on point! I wasn't really a massive fan of the killing off of Data, but it did add a big shake up to the Next Generation characters, as the only other "major" character to die was Yar, many many years prior.

I also felt that the Romulans playing a part in a movie was excellent, I have always been a fan of the Romulan Empire and thought it was a shame they were never really in the movies before Nemesis. My only real problem with Tom Hardy and Shinzon was the fact that he looked nothing like the young Picard we had already seen back in TNG, whilst yes it would be difficult to find such a person, it just adds a massive continuity error.

Overall, as stated at previously, I loved the film, in fact it is my second favourite - out of the Next Generation films that is - and I was always sad that it ended a long reign of Star Trek movies, shows and most importantly, games.

I enjoyed Nemesis, but the one part I did not enjoy was the killing of Data. Me, like many other people had grown attached to seeing Data on the Enterprise and killing him off like that seemed cruel. I suppose he had an honorable death which other characters don't seem to get. It's not my favorite Star Trek Movie but I can't say I hated it. The action scenes were definitely fun, Picard was doing all he could to ruin Shinzon's plan.

Yeah, not my favorite movie, for the reasons mentioned above (Data, end of an era, etc). The action was ok for me, the B4 stuff was kind of meh in my opinion, and as I said, I was sad to see things end. I LOVE Romulans, and so that was awesome - and it was cool to see the true RSE kind of rally and form a bit of a truce at the end. Out of the TNG movies, it's my least favorite, out of all 10, it's down there close to STV, and out of all 12 it's still down there close to STV. Being the end, and kind of a downer of an end, just makes it something I rarely ever want to watch again.

I honestly never understood why there was so much hate for Nemesis.

I know a few members of the cast weren't big fans of Stuart Baird's directing but I think he got a strong performance out of the cast, the pacing of the film was good and they nailed the atmosphere. I loved some of the little touches, how they made changes to the lighting and the LCARS displays to change the tone, the changes to the comm sound to make it sound less like the person talking was there in the room, the speed of the weapons so that both handheld and ship mounted weapons actually seemed violent.

Personally I like the fact that a major character died. Far too often in TV shows and films you know things will work out ok because main characters rarely die which often dulls any threats or risks they encounter. For me the fact that a main character can die makes things that much more interesting because if you can kill off a main character then pretty much all bets are off.

Whilst Data was one of my favourite characters so normally he wouldn't be my choice of character to kill off I think it was a smart decision given that the introduction of B4 meant that there was the opportunity for Data to come back, essentially it was no different to when Spock was killed in The Wrath of Khan, they had a way to bring him back if they ever wanted or needed and I like the fact that they alluded to that at the end of the film which for me ending TNG perfectly, on a sense of hope.

I thought Tom Hardy did a great job especially given how young he was at the time. That said I don't think Tom Hardy is capable of delivering a bad performance. The scenes between him and Patrick Stewart were great.

Lastly I thought the space battle was one of if not the best in Star Trek, it's definitely up there with some of the awesome DS9 battles.

I did enjoy the move quite a bit, so I would have to say I 'Liked it'.

But yes, was very very very very very sad at Data's death. I understood the gravity of the situation, i.e. him sacrificing himself to save Picard (his Captain and dear friend). Yet still hated it as it was freaking Data's death!

However, the solace was the fact that Data had did a full memory/data dump into B-4. Thus at the end, where Picard took on the role of Surrogate father had real potential for more TNG stories/movies.

Great action (starship battles are always epic), great cast (TNG cast is the best cast for me), and a far-reaching story.
