    WELCOME!

Welcome to The United Federation of Planets, a Star Trek community made by fans for fans. We sincerely hope that you enjoy your time here, if you do ever have any issues please be sure to let us know, we really want this to be a friendly and fun environment for everyone.

You can learn more about our community by clicking the ABOUT button on the main navigational bar.

    INTRODUCE YOURSELF

In order to help us get to know you why not create a thread in the INTRODUCE YOURSELF area of the forums and let us know a little bit about yourself?

If you are struggling to think of things you would like to share then try some of the following icebreakers:

    Where you are from.
What time zone you are in.
    How old you are.
How you first got interested in Star Trek.
    Your favourite Star Trek book.
    Your favourite Star Trek character.
    Your favourite Star Trek episode.
    Your favourite Star Trek movie.
    Your favourite Star Trek quote.
    Your favourite Star Trek series.
Your favourite Star Trek video game.
Which Star Trek video games you own.

Just be mindful that you may not wish to give out personally identifiable information such as your full real name or your home address.

WHERE CAN I GO FOR HELP?

If you ever need help our SUPPORT CENTRE is designed to be a one-stop shop for essential information or requesting direct support with any membership or website issues or queries. This can be accessed by clicking SUPPORT CENTRE at the bottom of any of our webpages.

You can learn about the rules which community members are required to follow by clicking SITE RULES at the bottom of any of our webpages. These rules are generally just common sense and are in place to ensure we all treat each other equally and that ultimately we all have a good time.

If you would like to change any of your user or membership settings you can do so via MY UFP which is accessible from the options button at the top right of any webpage.

If you are a CL3 Starfleet member you will have been assigned a Recruit Support Officer from our STARFLEET ACADEMY TEAM who will be named in your APPLICATION THREAD. Your RSO should get in contact with you shortly after you have joined explaining who they are and how they can help you. Your RSO will be on hand during your introduction to the community should you require help or advice.

    FEEDBACK & PROPOSALS

Our community is run by fans for fans, as a result all of our members the opportunity to influence the running of the community.

We take feedback very seriously and often use it to determine what we do and how we do it, all of our members are free to give feedback on anything relating to their experience within the community, be it good or bad. You can provide feedback at any time by pressing the SEND FEEDBACK button at the bottom of any of our webpages.

If you ever have an idea for something that the community could do or a way we could be doing something then we encourage you to SEND FEEDBACK and we will discuss your idea. Whilst we can't promise that every proposal will be implemented we can promise that every proposal will be looked at and that proposals that gather sufficient support will go through a formal process to determine whether or not they can be implemented and will receive an official response.

    DONATING & VOLUNTEERING

Our community is completely advertisement free and is a non-profit organisation, as a result the only income we receive is from member donations, without these we would be unable to provide our website, forums or servers. If you are willing and able to donate any money you can do so by pressing the DONATE button at the bottom of any webpage or near the bottom of the forums. You can also use this link to learn more about what the generous donations that we receive help to fund.

All of our staff are volunteers and their work is essential to ensure the day to day running and long term development of our community. The more volunteers we have the more we can achieve and the more we can spread the workload. Volunteering can be great fun and in many cases may only require as little as an hour of your time a week. If you are interested in volunteering you can click the VOLUNTEER button at the bottom of any webpage to learn more about what roles we are currently recruiting for and can register your interest in roles that are presently not recruiting.

    TEAMSPEAK & EVENTS

Our community provides a TeamSpeak 3 server, TeamSpeak 3 is a free to use communication system often used by gamers and allows both for voice and text based conversations with individuals or groups. The use of TeamSpeak 3 is entirely optional but can be helpful for gaming together and is often used for social activities by the community. You can read our TEAMSPEAK GUIDE to learn more about TeamSpeak 3 and our server.

The community hosts a number of gaming and social events, to look for upcoming events you can click the EVENTS button on the main navigation bar. This will list all upcoming EVENTS as well as who is running the event and who is planning to attend. All EVENT times are listed by your timezone so no time conversion is required. You can configure your timezone settings in MY UFP.
