    apparently when i try to run STO. my video driver stops working in the middle yet i can play all other games just fine any ideas?

    A couple of things I'd suggest. Firstly what graphics card do you have? Uninstall the drivers and reinstall them.

    If that doesn't work do a complete resintall of STO. I know 12GB is a pain Tongue Out

    Run it in DX9, the game crashes under DX11 after several minutes. This is a known issue that's been around for a few years (pretty much since they added dx11 to the game)

    I suppose it depends on graphic cards. I'm running on Dx11 just fine really. I got Nvidia 980Ti.

    It's not AMD's fault that PWE/Cryptic's game engine and DX11 optimizations don't work on their cards. I've NEVER had any issues with DX11 on my R9 390 (or my HD 6780s before I upgraded) on any other games with the exception of STO, Neverwinter and Champtions (and most likely any other game that uses Cryptic's engine).

    This is purely a game engine issue and has nothing to do with the card, and DX9 looks identical to DX11 for the most part in STO.
