Hi All,

Recently joined UFP and got invited to the first fleet - as this is my first and therefore main character. I was just wondering if the 2nd, 3rd and 4th fleets are much more active?

I play UK timezone, so it could well be that most players are US timezone. I just find UFP chat and fleet chat literally dead when I play.

I'm just curious if it's my timezone or the other fleets are more active.

Since members are only allowed to have one character in the main fleet it tends to feel more empty than 2nd and 3rd fleet, especially since we directed all the Agents of Yesterday characters to the 3rd fleet.
We try and overcome this by using the in-game channel to communicate between all the fleets so people can still get together and do stuff.

Alternatively you can view the 2nd fleet and 3rd fleet roster via the Armada panel and see who's online..

4th fleet isn't very active at all, we use it for slotting projects and banking purposes but it is still being actively developed because people can donate to projects via the armada.

Maybe a lot of our members are shy in UFPlanets chat? Nah, but I think it needs someone to start a conversation before people start talking, I know prime EU time is usually quite busy, never been on during prime US. People don't seem to talk much these days, they should! Make them talk!

Consider using Teamspeak. From what I remember there are always a few channels with four or five people doing something on STO

I did not know about AoY characters being in the third fleet. My only toon is AoY toon, so I will probably ask for a fleet transfer.

Reason I ask about the chat is that I am nearing end game - level 56 on my first toon. I would appreciate some kind of guidance as to the appropriate steps to do next. I'm not hardcore or am trying to be. I am after something that is fairly efficient to play in end game PVE. This is because I am a casual player due to real life commitments - my son predominantly thus limiting my gametime.

I would recommend using Team Speak, I have found that most use that instead of the in game chat, if you're nearing end game check out the events page, the events cover everything from the STF's to how to 'build' your ship (I can vouch for the Staurday build discussions as I have only been a member since June! and both my Ground and Space DPS have gone up significantly ).

There are also guides to the STF's which you can take a look at but players are more than happy to take you through content if you've never played it before.
