Dude, I use to play with my Star Trek and X-Men figures like X-Men travelled to a parallel future universe to meet up with ST. I loved playing like that cause I could also get my little brother to go along with me...he hates Star Trek haha except for Picard's speeches.

I see Worf and Wolverine clashing heads a lot and use to play it that way. I got to check that out.

Reminds me of the Transformers G1 and Avengers crossover where Optimus Prime and Iron Man in a special 'Transformers' suit clashed. One of the greatest reads of pure awesomeness.

Turns out I wasn't quite correct - I figured it meant something like a vaguely incompetent vanity project by someone who isn't suited for the work. I learned something new, thanks! As a bonus - I finally know what to call the worst book of science fiction I ever read... I still sometimes wonder if it was meant to be ironic, it was so bad. I mercifully forgot the title or author, but the main character was: great with the ladies, a black belt martial artist, an avid mountain biker, yet passed out drunk a few times in the book, invented endless clean energy and ftl space travel...

Trust me, the Shatner books are trash.
Kirk gets brought back with adapted romulan/Borg tech, and then an amnesic kikk is used as a spy for the tal'shiar, it devolves into an adventure that involves Starfleet intelligence (this was before S31), going into the mirror universe, gets Spock, McCoy, and I think Urura and Chekov (in pre first contact film years) along with the Enterprise D crew to stop the Romulans, and some how the Preserves are involved? Don't know, it's been 17 years since I lost a few points of IQ reading the few books he wrote with Garfield-Reeves Stephens.

The books are cool and all that but surely can't be cannon. I do enjoy reading them though!

To me, it depends on the plot of the book. You take the amazing "Dreams of the Raven" from Carmen Carter.... to me, it's one of the best Star Trek stories in any form for the Original Series.
