I just got into watching DS9 im almost done watching the season, i kinda just like the quark episodes.

I really love DS9. Such great episodes, deep characters, a wide story arc, great music and so on...
one of the best sci-fi series ever.

That is interesting. I just started with the first season and it also doesn't really catch me so far, but I will continue definitely. So many people told me it is the best Star Trek series.

there are some really great episodes in each season... especially after Season 2....

One my favourites I used to be a VOY only fan really but after watching ENT and DS9 I really struggle to choose a favourite between the 3! It's a shame they never made a DS9/VOY/TNG corossobwr movie or would have been beyond EPIC

I remember watching DS9 when it was first on TV, I actually disliked it as I preferred TNG and Voyager more at the time. Though now I love DS9 as I grew up I realized it was a darker than the other series, especially from about Season 3 on. I think the two part "The Way of the Warrior" in Season 4 is my favorite episode of the series, though there are a lot of good ones. The one I disliked the most was "Move Along Home" from Season 1, that damned song makes my ears bleed...it's almost as bad as "Kurland Here!!!!!"

i liked TNG my self as well, but once you watch the other star trek seasons you get to like all of them.

I was a big fan of all of the series, less so with ENT because I had difficulty getting the channel it was on. DS9 did start off slow but so did TNG.

I would agree that it picks up after season 1 -- I've just started watching the episode's where Worf join's the series...

Well, technically, a DS9/Voyager/TNG crossover movie did happened... We have Worf (DS9), Admiral Janeway (VOY) and the TNG crew in Star Trek Nemesis. And I wouldn't consider that epic.

Deep Space 9 was my introduction into Star Trek. Let me tell you, as a kid, I hated it. Used to call it "talking heads", because that's what it was, lots of talking. Nowadays that's my favourite series despite the fact that my favourite character and my "best crew" isn't a part of the show, I just love that story and setting.

I absolutely love DS9, especially the on-going story arcs and character development in the later series. In my opinion the show really didn't kick off until The Way of the Warrior two parter. If you can sit through the first couple of seasons it's well worth it in the end!! I wish VOY had taken some of the serial elements of DS9 across into that show, but I still like it.

I remember going over to my buddies house and watching the premiere and ordering some pizza. I love the show as much today as I did during the initial run.
