Just kinda getting active in this game again after like 8 months of like a hour every two weeks on average.

Did they ever introduce any more lore to explain what happened to the Enterprise-E? They just kind of left that open in Road To 2410 or whatever it was. I'd like a definitive answer to this. Lol

Well the STO Wiki says that the Enterprise-E is missing in action.

They might explore it in detail at a later date, that would be pretty neat. The Enterprise-E was announced missing in action on 2408. You can read more about the history in the link below. - I've also copy and pasted the main bit of text into the post, just so you don't have to read their wiki if you don't want to.

History:
2372: The Enterprise launches, under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
2373: The Enterprise averts the second Borg invasion of Earth.
2375: The Enterprise, along with the U.S.S. Cairo, helps repel the Breen attack on Earth during the Dominion War.
2379: The Enterprise lays the foundation of renewed and deepens diplomatic relations with the Romulan Star Empire when she defeats the Reman-based praetor Shinzon.
2385: Captain Picard resigns his commission and becomes Ambassador to Vulcan. The Enterprise returns to Utopia Planitia for a refit.
2387: The Enterprise is relaunched under the command of Captain Data.
2397: Geordi LaForge is named captain of the U.S.S. Challenger, and Nog becomes chief engineer of the Enterprise.
2398: The Enterprise, along with the I.K.S. Gorkon, investigates the death of Ambassador K'mtok following an attack on the Klingon-Gorn negotiations.
2408: The Enterprise investigates the loss of contact with Starbase 236. During this mission, the Enterprise encounters Undine forces in Fluidic space. While the ship is lost, most of the crew, including Captain Data, survive, and are credited with turning the tide against the Undine.

The actual Path to 2409 doesn't have anything about it being lost, it only has this (v. 29, ch 4):

After Starfleet lost contact with Starbase 236 in late September, it sent the U.S.S. Enterprise-E to investigate.

"This could be related to the war. It could be something else. It could be a simple equipment failure," Brex said. "Our primary concern is the safety of the starbase crew."

It's the last we heard from the Enterprise-E, but the ship being lost or missing in action was a player assumption to cover the conspicuous absence of the ship and crew in the game at a time when they should have been prominent. It's never been directly contradicted - several crew members are accounted for after 2408, but not the ship itself - but it's also not been directly confirmed, either.

Perhaps that's why I'm confused by the information presented on Gamepedia's website, as many others denote Data died in 2379 as we saw in Nemesis. Now they did introduce B4 who downloaded all of Data's memories but Picard denotes B4 was not yet nearly as advanced as Data. Data had been in Starfleet for a few Decades prior to his death, so I find it hard a new Android would be made a Captain 10 years later.

Many others expand on Wikipedia to denote comments Picard made in the movie following Data's death:

I myself am not familiar with any mention of the Enterprise current status or any character's from that time in game (with the exception of Wolf) or any communication in their official Star Trek Online Forum or official Star Trek Online website stating any current status of any cannon specific starship.

B-4 took the name of Data.

It's mentioned somewhere in all that stuff Cryptic wrote before the game released.

Geordi La Forge works with the Soong Foundation to unlock the "Data matrix" in B-4, allowing Data to be restored by asserting his persona over B-4's. I have never really thought about this before. I think that cryptic need to explain exactly what happened to cause the enterprise to be lost, some crew to escape and be active again without anyone questioning what happened. Or is my security clearance not high enough to access this information?

As for Data, I would have thought that he (B-4) would need hardware upgrades to accommodate Data's more advanced programming. Without that, I am not sure that he would make a capable Captain.

He went to the Soong Foundation to become fully functional.

Shortly after that Geordi assists and B-4 becomes Data after all of Data's original programming is restored.

The entire thing is littered with lore from lots of books with the exception of the Star Trek: Destiny books.
