Hey guys,

I have recently got back into STO and found myself with very few EC, and with all the stuff I want to buy I need more! Any ideas or plans to get loads of EC? As I know many people have got 10s if not 100s of millions just lying around so how do you do it? All my time in STO and I have never been able to get anywhere near those numbers! Thanks!

Personaly I run elite PvE queue and sell boxes that brings me 300000 EC per boxes and some missions are very easy.Second way is to do Tour of galaxy you can earn much money with that and third way there are many admiralty missions that rewards some ec with critical you can get may EC.

Also selling keys.

Selling contraband still gets a fair bit but it's not as good as it used to be. Back when I played before it would be anywhere between 35k and 60k. Now it seems to have dropped somewhere around 20k. You can sell random gear for more than that.

I used to get about 1 million per day in about 10 mins doing a foundry mission..but I think that's been nerfed a bit. I haven't tried it since I got back but no one mentions it anymore.

Depending on market fluctuation, selling keys and Fleet ship modules will bring you a nice chunk of change. You can get them by spending real world money, or you can use your dilithium and trade it for zen, then buy the keys and sell them.

I only have about 40 million ec after my last round of spending (NX class and Connie), but I have been close to the two billion ec mark a few times.

Keys right now are selling around 5 mil, I am waiting to sell more once the price starts to go back up. I usually stock up on keys when they go on sale for 15-20% off. That usually happens the first week of a new lock box.

Also good to note, if you do want to buy zen with real currency, wait until it is on sale/bonus

Yeah, thanks for suggestions, ideally I don't want to spend any zen as I am trying not to pay STO for anything nowadays, I just rely on my monthly stipend but I did do the Tour of the Galaxy thing this morning, was quite fun - just need to iron out a better route to get as much as possible!

A good way to run that, is get your self a really fast warp core (other stats dont matter) and just use the engine to run it.

Good gear for TtG is either the Temporal Defense Initiative Warp Core, or one of the breaks-Warp-10 Engines (Assimilated, MACO, or Fleet), and the Polaric Modulator console (boosts turn rate in Slipstream). The core doesn't stack with the engines, hence the either/or.

This is a route I've been using. I'm still absolutely terrible at using Slipstream properly, and it ends up costing me more time than it saves, but even if I don't Slipstream at all in the whole 15min I usually finish the Beta quadrant and get a fair chunk into Alpha before time's up.

no need to getting temporal set you can do it just with your your set nad get borg engines becouse that will give you more sector speed travel,
I pesonaly obtain my speed with using skill points that give me more sector speed.

Yeah...they nerfed a lot of good ways to make dilithium and ec over the years...

I personally make a little ec here and their by selling certain rank III boff abilities and crafting upgrade kits (I've got a TON of resources so it's easy for me...I literally had thousands of traces and such before they changed crafting)
