Federation News Service - Staff Writer
CL4 - Tier 2 (Lieutenant/Senior Chief Petty Officer)
The role of a Staff Writer is to work within the Federation News Service to consistently produce high-quality articles regarding the latest and greatest Trek-related news. Down the road, you might also have the chance to conduct interviews with known figures in Sci-Fi and Trek.
This position is perfect for individuals brimming with creativity who wish to give back to the community through the medium of print media. It will also see you playing a key role in the continual expansion of the Federation News Service!
JOB DUTIES
- Take initiative and write articles without being asked to do so when new, interesting, or otherwise important stories crop up.
- Be able to write high quality articles for the Federation News Service.
- Maintain a level of activity as deemed by the Commanding Officer of FNS.
- Willingness to learn how to operate the UFP's news system.
- The successful candidate of this role would report to KerryMalone.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- It is required that for this role, you must have passed and completed the Orientation Assessment and the Officer Qualification Exam..
- A keen eye for detail and potentially newsworthy items.
- Being knowledgeable on how to appropriately write news stories. Proper format, structure, style, etc.
- Is it a CL5 position? No

This is a great opportunity to work with a team of experienced UFP Members. Also, If you love getting the First Hand scoop on Star Trek, Gaming and Anything in general, FNS is the right place for you.
