So I must know! I find this thread across ton's of forums that I frequent and I always find that they are a great chit chat starter.
So what is your favorite Browser?
I use Chrome if for anything because of the ease of access. I also use a browser called Ghost Browser which is a browser that is based off of Chrome but has more security and better features.


So what is yours?

I use Firefox, have done for a long time, tried Chrome, didn't really like it and I don't like how much RAM it likes to eat! Firefox does what I need it to do and the developer mode within it is also easy to use.

I hear that with FireFox. My problem is that I am lazy and I have saved all of my passwords (Bad Practice I know) to Chrome. So I am in the process of moving to FireFox I just have to get all of my saved stuff off of Chrome .

You know that FireFox is coming out with grouped tabs that allow you to have multiple identities? What I mean is that you will be able to open say two tabs that are for personal and then two for work. These will be color coded and you will be able to be logged into two different accounts at the same time. Like being logged into your personal Facebook and your professional at the same time with out interference.

I think the container thing is pretty cool and will allow us to be more productive in my opinion.

I use Firefox / Firefox Developer Edition. I used to have Chrome a few years ago but it is a black hole in term of RAM consumption.

I'll be honest I have been a google chrome fanatic but I might go back to FireFox simply for the container options haha

I use Chrome for personal use and Firefox at work. Between the two I do like Chrome better but may be tainted by the work firewall.

I have been using Chrome for a few years now its always been my go to I used firefox in the past as for Chrome its caused me no problems I guess its something to do with the amount of ram I have so I not noticed any problems one feature I like is that it can sync to other devices with chrome or android phone which again I have been used to for a few years but main feature I like as back early last year I moved to windows 10 I had to do a fresh install of the OS , instead of looking for what extensions I had on it as soon as I log in it syncs everything from what you have on your account ie - Bookmarks , Apps etc

Thats easy, Chrome.

I primarily used android devices, and a lot of my favourites are stored with my google account. I've used firefox in the past (In fact, before chrome came out, I was a heavy firefox user).

It's ease of use, especially when going from one device to another, or one computer to another is the biggest draw for me. Just logging into my google account and having all my bookmarks, settings, extensions, passwords, cookies and history near instantly transfered is what keeps me from using anyother browser.

Of course, that being said, if Chrome were to go belly up and google were to stop supporting it tomorrow, I would go back to Firefox, as its the next best browser in terms of functionality.

RAM isn't an issue for me as I have far too much of it (32GB).

No such thing. More RAM is ALWAYS better.

I'm not picky and use what is usually available on my system. With Win 10, I use Edge mostly.

At work, I use Win7 still and utilize Firefox, as it has been 'configured' and 'updated' to work with Company intranet. I used to like Firefox a lot, but the home version tend to be a bit wonky for my tastes. It feels like it fails a lot more often and has issues with various flash content. Not sure why and definitely not a certified review, just something I noticed. I have less issues with the native browser than with Firefox (as of late).

All browsers have issues with Flash content, it's an old media format that has out-lived its usefulness and is slowly being replaced by HTML5 and other forms of webmedia.

It's one of the reasons (A small one, the largest being security) why the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) is pushing for its retirement. Still pushing really, I remember talk about flash being done away with back when I was in College (for web design) in 2004-05, and that was when HTML5 was theoretical, Adobe had just bought Macromedia (And Flash), and flash was still heavily used.

Edge is surprisingly better than the older IE that all probably hate. Used Netscape back in the day, moved to Firefox, and been with Chrome ever since its official release. Got all my stuff on it and all the apps set right. So far the RAM usage hasn't been an issue on my laptop or desktop.
