Favorite OS?

So what do you guys all use for your OS? Is there any one specific OS that you use over all the others??

Mine is Windows 10. I know the evil OS but I have been using it from the Tech Preview and to be honest it has grown on me a lot. I love the ease of use and the ability to customize.

Whats yours?

I am also on Windows 10, the spying is a bit annoying but there are more than enough programs and tutorials to disable that, and all in all the latest technology will only be supported with Windows 10.

Windows 10 for my desktop machine, because I use it for gaming. Professional edition because HYPER-V FOR FREE IS COOL.

For any of my gaming servers, and my NAS that I'm building, Linux all the way.

Windows 3.1 was pretty cool, but I think I'll go with Windows 95, it had the best GUI update of them all, until XP came along.

Or are we talking modern operating systems? If so, I've only used Windows 7 and 10 on that list, 7 was the better one of the two for most things, but then it got an update that added dumb stuff apparently.

So I'll stick with Windows 95 as my answer!

I have been using Windows 10 for a year now and honestly, it's great.
However I think going back to basics and using Windows 7, I feel, is much better and simpler.
Windows 7 had a simpler look, it was robust and didn't have all those annoying popups when you open another browser, for example, "Edge is x1% more secure than x2" (With X1 being the percentage and X2 being the browser, excluding edge.)

So yeah, Windows 7 for me.

Been using Win 10 on Laptop, PC and smartphone for quite a while and it actually works really well together. The only problem is that there aren't that many apps for it as for Android or iOS. What I like is the clean look and the similarity to LCARS design. Before that I was a fan of Win 7 on PC because it worked really stable.

Honestly, it depends on what I use the computer for.

For my Desktop, Windows 10, no brainer. There's tools you can get to turn Cortana and the rest of the Telemetry off, and I can play all my games that support DX12 and future releases. What sucks though, is that I bought a Windows 8 licence a week before the rumors started to go around that Windows 10 was a free upgrade from Windows 7 and 8. Guess what OS I had at the time... it ends with a 'even'.

For laptops, soon as I do my research and upgrade the hard-drive, I'm putting Linux Mint on my Laptop. What I've looked up right now shows that there's issues with my particular model of Lenovo Ideapad.

I used to own a Chromebook, and ChromeOS is pretty good if you just browse the web and consume media content.

I won't touch Apple products because of their shady business practices (Planned Obcelesence, admitting to intentenially bricking devices if they are repaired by 3rd party, and replacing screws while repairing devices to pentalobe screws to prevent home repair) and their active attempts (along with many other hardware company's, like Sony, Microsoft) to block "Right to Repair" bills that would give the consumer more power to repair their own devices or use 3rd party repair outlets, and have the gall to say its for 'cyber security'.

I'm a graphic designer.

I'm happy.

(And my Win10 computer died a month ago)

I do like Mac OS though, It's not bad.

I had to use it in school, took a while for me to get used to it.

I love Linux but unfortunately being a gamer not allot of Games play well with Linux but I love it because for the most part it is free and pretty much works with any PC hardware no spy/ bloatware but because I game more then not I am stuck with Windows
